We had a great time and enjoyed most of the ports. We bought several souvenirs for family and friends. Remember this tip: they all expect you haggle on pricing. Do not pay full price!

Our first time on a larger boat, the main dining experience was a little disappointing. The service was extremely slow the first few nights, but got better toward the end of the cruise. The dinners looked very appealing, and the taste was average. We especially liked Guys Burgers and the Guys BBQ restaurant. Carnival got those two right for sure! Buffet selection was not great and we try to avoid the Lido deck crowds so I probably should not comment much on the buffets.

Rock show was good, Lip Sync battle was a big hit. Comedians were excellent as was the magician.

Room steward was excellent and we tipped him appropriately. Wait staff in main dining room was slow. I expected better and near the end of the cruise it definitely improved. Sometimes I wonder how much training they receive prior to being “thrown to the wolves”.

The layout was typical Carnival layout with the Lido deck being the star of the show. This ship had better variety of restaurants that others.

Our steward was excellent and was very professional and polite. Room was cleaned professionally and we always came back to clean room after a day in port.
Ship tip
Try Guys BBQ on deck 5. It is only open on sea days from 12-2.
Went to Altun Ha ruin. This was a great excursion. If we go back we will tour other ruins as well. You must take a tender boat to the port due to shallow water so make sure you plan accordingly.
We likeed this port and bought a few things there. Went to a resort that opened in 2017 and had a great time. Service was excellent and food was fantastic.
Beautiful port but is a really geared for the tourist for sure. We stayed in port and did a tequila tasting that was excellent. Bought a bottle of Don Julio 70. Best tequila we had ever sampled. A must do if you like tequila. You can buy excursions there if you want and there is a swimming with the dolphins excursion at the port.
