This was my first cruise, and it was great. Staff were very helpful, our room steward Ordin was very helpful, went the extra mile and answered a lot of questions. Joy our head server was great to get to know each of us and our needs.
The biggest downside was people from an adjacent cabin continually smoking on their balconing. I could never get guest services on our cabin phone, which didn't work very well. I finally got ahold of house keeping, and also reported it to our steward Ordin. These no smoking rules need to be more aggressively enforced as this is a big safety as well as health issue for all of your passengers.

The staff at Carnival were very kind and efficient. They made sure we knew what to do and where to go.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Our dining room as well as wait staff, especially Joy were awesome. She really spoiled us. We tried the Italian restaurant on our last day at sea for lunch, and it was really good. We did the buffet the first day on the ship, and for breakfasts before our excursions. The food wasn't very good. You would get the same quality in a cafeteria. We also tried Guys burgers out last day at sea and it was horrible. The fries were soaked and greasy, and tasted burned. The hamburger wasn't good either. So I guess you have to try this place early in the cruise for it to be any good.
Onboard Activities

The Lido Deck Movie was fun, the Comedy and Piano bar were also great. We also really enjoyed Dr. E. He was really fun, and even jumped up on that stage with one our family members and karaoked with her.

Cabin / Stateroom

The twin beds were extremely comfortable, room size was good. Unfortunately the electrical out let in the bathroom didn't work. We also found out the hard way that we had to keep a card in a add holder by the door, or all of the power would go off in the room. Ordin thankfully stopped by and showed us. This information should have been provided to guests before we boarded the ship and were with out power for at least an hour. Thankfully it was still day light.
Ship tip
Taking the stairs to the different levels is faster than waiting for an elevator.
We did the Cenotes. Our guide Carlos was great, the lunch was very nice, but the bathrooms were few, and basically out houses. Beautiful
Water pools and area.
We did Ya Ya beach. It was great. We enjoyed really nice massages for $20 for a half an hour, wading in the ocean, relaxing on the beach. Lunch was provided and was really good. Staff were pretty attentive.
Sorry you had to deal with the smokers that dont know how to follow rules,(there's a few on every cruise!!) but am glad to hear everything else was good.
