Unforgettable by Mishi2268094

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I enjoyed the ship and the crew. Our room was always clean and the beds were made and turned down for the night. The people that work on these ships are absolutely hard workers and want to make the cruise memorable.

Overall Good Cruise by LauraW6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Carnival Glory is clean, newer, and has roomy staterooms. The Red Sail Restaurant was a zoo (crowds and lines always). It was not laid out well at all. Did not have a lot of room to be in the pool. Lots of kids everywhere. The embarkation and debarkation went smoothly. We brought our own luggage off, since we had an early flight, and I would recommend to do that if possible. The service and entertainment in the Golden Dining Room was excellent, from our headwaiter, his assistant and the wine steward. Service at the open seating lunch in Platinum Dining Room was slow and we didn't go back. The ship is laid out with the Golden Dining Room in the middle, and you can only get to it from going certain ways on certain floors, which got to be inconvenient. The lounges were spotless and service good in them. You could tell which ones would be freezing and which ones were more comfortable. The entertainment was average in the Amber Palace. The comedian was great, however.

Very Boring, and the Food was Aweful! by RickJ2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my wife and I's honeymoon, I have been on several cruises but this was her first, she will never go on another one. This 7 day trip ruined her. We are so disappointed in the ship, service, the scheduling and the food. Really, what cruise company schedules you to port in the Bahamas on Sunday morning when absolutly nothing is open? This was a very over-prices and disappointing honeymoon for us!

Least Favorite by TaraR1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I was very disappointed because upon arrival of the ship, the room we were assigned was limited on space due to the way it was designed being the first room in front of the ship. I asked customer service to try to switch rooms and they said Cruise Only should have told me in advance about the arrangement of this room. (that did not happen) No where in booking the cruise did it even ask me if i was traveling with a friend or companion. This room would have been ideal if I were traveling with my brother. This was the most i ever spent on a cruise, but certainly my least favorite. The customer service attendants acted as though it was not their problem it was mine and that Cruise Only should have told me :(

A wonderful get away. by JimmyM1

Excellent. This was my second cruise. The ship and crew seemed in perfect condition. The services and staff were without flaw. I am not one who is rich enough to travel very often, but Carnival has provided me with two cruises and a desire to make more.

Great overall cruise. We got diverted to another ports of call due to the swine flu in Mexico and fell in love with the Virgin Islands. WONDERFUL, time. Exceptional cruise overall.

Glorious Glory! by LauraW5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I've sailed Carnival three times before, and this was by far my favorite ship! Before I boarded, thought it might be too big to navigate and fully enjoy, but it took me no time to learn my way around. The only problems I had with the layout is that one of the dining rooms (Golden) was in the middle of the ship on Decks 3 and 4, and closed except for dinner time. This meant that when we were forward on the ship, we had to go up, around, and back down to get to the other side of deck 3 or 4, which was sometimes a nuisance. The other drawback was that the comedy shows and cocktail parties were in the aft Ebony lounge, which was far smaller than the main theater. This made for some pretty tight standing-room-only spaces, which in retrospect, was probably a fire hazard as well. I'm not sure if such a huge attendance was a rarity or just bad venue planning on Carnival's part, though.

A over all very good cruise by TerryG2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We have sailed on the Glory last year and this was good but not a good as last year. The show and food was outstanding but the service in the dining room was not as good as last year. The deck enterainment was not as good as before. They were suppose to have a "oldes " show on deck at 4:30PM one day when we were at sea. The entertainer was there at 4:15PM and it started to rain and he left and didn't return. But it stopped raining by 4:25PM. It showed all of us be just didn't want to entertain. Over all it was a good cruise however.

It is a true value for the money. by ElizabethE3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship really needs to be redone decorator wise in the staterooms. The carpet is worn and looked dirty. Saw trash sitting. So many people there to clean, but not always doing their job. Pool area nice. Had a excellent head waiter in the dining room. Wonderful people in the gift shop on board.

The Best Cruise Ever by YolandaJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We recently sailed on the Carnival Glory and had the best time. This was the first time we had cruised with Carnival and was very impressed and pleased with the service, activities, and food. The best part was that we traveled this year with our 4 yr old and Camp Carnival was the GREATEST!!! This camp allowed my husband and I to enjoy a vacation together and allowed our 4yr old to enjoy his vacation with us and he got to meet new friends. The Camp had great activities for the children and the Counselors were very professional and good with the children. My son did not want to leave the Camp. We cruised the Eastern Carribbean to Nassau, Bahamas, St Thomas and St Maarten. We took our son off the ship in St Thomas however we ended up taking him back to the ship after an hour because he kept talking about missing Camp Carnival. We attempt to take him off the ship in St Maarten but he refused and stated he was staying at Camp Carnival to eat lunch with is friends and play afterwards. The Camp was open until 10pm however you could pay small fee($6 per hour) from 10pm to 3am and your child could stay. This was great because it allowed us as a couple to enjoy the disco, comedy shows or just hanging out at the pool area. My son also loved the slide that was on the ship. The ship also had a great gym/spa/track outside on upper deck. Booking with BJ's was awesome because the pricing was just right and by booking with them we got an onboard credit and a BJ's gift card upon returning from our trip. We would definitely book with BJ's again and definitely cruise with Carnival again.

Tons of fun! by MaryB31

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

Our first impression was that the ship was older but well-kept and nicely appointed. The rooms were large enough and the upgraded bedding was especially nice. You couldn't have asked for friendlier staff, and our room attendant was so agreeable and helpful.

We enjoyed this cruise by SusanJ11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Well, we would recommend this ship unless you are highly bothered by cigarette smoke. Carnival needs to invest in the state-of-the-art ventilating system if they are going to allow so many smoking areas. I believe that we were told no smoking in the rooms, but you could smell it up and down our level. I am a past smoker so this was very bothersome. We still went to the casino (just twice), very nice, but we couldn't stay very long because, again, the smoke and awful smell was everywhere. On the other hand, the ports were beautiful, the food was great (that chocolate thing they has most nights on the buffet was fab) and overall, it is a very nice ship. This was our 5th cruise, Butch, the CD, is the best we've ever encountered. If it weren't for all the smoke smell, this would have been A+.
