Good Cruise by TimothyA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Again the hot tubs not being hot were an issue especially since the weather was not good for swimming or hanging out on the pool deck. Food was good.

A Terrific Quick Getaway by MichaelD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This ship is in very good condition for an older type of cruise ship. The ships design causes one to have to go up to the 5th floor to get from the front to the back of the ship. the 3rd & 4th floors do not permit one to get from the front to the back. Otherwise, this ship was lots of fun & laughs. the shows are first rate & the crew is ALWAYS upbeat with lots to do every minute of your cruise nonstop.. Lots of energy from the staff & crew. Everyone was very pleasant. The casino was generous in it's slot play payouts. This permitted one to play, WIN, as well as loose. This is how a casino on Board ship should be operated. Not like the newer type cruise ships, that structure their casino play to be like throwing money overboard, never winning means no fun play in the casino. We all know the casino ( house) ALWAYS wins. BUT. this casino permits one to get some play for their money. AND if you play wisely, you might even beat the casino for some cruise fare on your next cruise like I did.

A great first cruise! by JenniferS7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Service in the stateroom was great. Housekeeping worked what seemed like 24 hours to keep the rooms clean. Sit down dinner was wonderful, the food and service there was top notch! I had breakfast and lunch at Red Sail, food was great there too! Also, you could eat pizza all day and sushi from 5-8:15 daily. There were activities all day on the ship and many clubs and bars to go to. My complaint is the smoking. On the upper decks smoking was allowed on one side of the ship. Inside the boat there were only a handful of places smoking was allowed, but they were all on one deck, so for me (someone who is sensitive to smoke) was unable to really enjoy anything on that deck since it seemed there was a wall of smoke. Drinks were great, port of call in Saint John was nice.

Good Time. . . Good Ship by JennaM2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The ship's layout was very convenient, especially since we were by the elevators on the 7 floor. The check- in process was awful!! Very disorganized. Always had food and it was good, wasn't the best and the steakhouse was overrated. Drinks were way to expensive and the casino provided our main source of entertainment, would have been better if they didn't take all our $!

WORSE CRUISE EVER by NanceM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

SHIP WAS CLEAN AND FOOD IN DINNING ROOM AS VERY GOOD. HOUSEKEEPING WAS VERY FRIENDLY. WAITERS IN DINNING ROOM WERE OVER WORKED AND MISSED ORDERED ITEMS EVERY MEAL. HAIR DRYER DID NOT WORK AND WAS NOT FIXED. ROOM SERVICE DID NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE 2 OUT OF THE 3 DAYS WE CALLED. WORSE PROBLEM WAS THE FINAL BILLING. WE USED A DEBIT CARD AND DID NOT REALIZE THAT HOLDS WERE PLACED ON EVERYTHING WE BOUGHT AND WERE NOT TAKEN OFF UNTIL 4 DAYS AFTER WE RETURNED HOME. WE PAID THE FINAL BILL TE LAST DAY OF THE CRUISE BUT THE HOLDS STAYED ON FOR 4 DAYS AFTER WE WERE HOME. WE CALLED CARNIVAL AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD TAKE THE HOLDS OFF OUR CHECKING ACCOUNT BUT THEY DID NOT.

Great first cruise experience! by Cruiser6362137

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

My mind was blown away from the size of the ship. Wish my cruise was longer. The staff took great care of us and we were spoiled and pampered like kings and queens. The sad part is admitting the cruise is over and coming back to reality. I highly recommend this cruise ship and am looking forward to planning our next one. We signed up for the Carnival cruise credit card which will help in getting points to be applied for the next trip.

An Incredible Time by ChadM2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was my first cruise and really exceeded my expectations. The onboard workers were all very nice and made the trip very pleasant. The musical shows on board were very good, as well as the piano bar and comedy shows. The food was out of this world. After this experience, I've decided that cruises are the way to travel!

The ship boasted lots of activities for both adults and kids. We were never at a loss for something to do, whether it was laser tag or blackjack.

Very clean ship. Rooms well-kept. Shows were entertaining. Food was delicious and a wide variety to choose from. Wish some food locations were open longer.. ie. the sushi bar and burrito station.

Wonderful Cruise by Cindys1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I had a blast on this cruise. I enjoyed the luxury of sleeping in, laying in the sun, napping, reading, dining out, dancing, singing. Being at sea for four days was just fine with me. I also enjoyed the two days on the islands. I loved the beauty of Half Moon Cay and luxury of having our own cruise dining on the beach. I also enjoyed Freeport shopping.

An easy cruise! by CarolW13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The room stewards were great and the rooms were large and clean. Didn't care for the fact that we upgraded the cabin to be in the middle of the ship to avoid so much walking; Room location was great, but the two floors above us did not allow through access on those floors so we ended up doing as much walking as if we were on either end of the ship. The food was good. The restuarants were good, the Steakhouse was wonderful. The bars and lounges left a lot to be desired. They appeared understaffed and we had to go the bar to place our orders vice having a waiter take our orders. There was too much smoking allowed in too many public areas, especially the casino.

"The Perfect 2nd Honeymoon" by JudyC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My husband and I had not been on a cruise alone without the kids, so this was like a second honeymoon to us, even though we've been married for 26 years. We were able to relax and enjoy laying out in the sun on the top deck of the ship, where it was not crowded. We loved the service from the waiters. Every time we sat down at a show or lobby or pool area, they came to see if we wanted something to drink, and we always did. I was so relaxing to have people waiting on you hand and foot. We were impressed with the hospitality of the staff. Every time we walked down the hall the staff would stop and smile and greet us with good morning or a simple hello. The cabin steward called me by name every time he saw me. That was very special to be recognized and persoalized. We thoroughly enjoyed the fine dining every evening. We love dressing up to go to dinner and being able to choose whatever we want from the menu. The priviledge of being waited on hand and foot made our week so enjoyable. The most awesome thing we did on the ship was watch the playoff basketball game on the big screen tv, all snuggled up in a blanket on the pool deck. It was like we were 17 again. We had a wonderful time together. Thankyou for making it so perfect!!
