Review summary

Service in the stateroom was great. Housekeeping worked what seemed like 24 hours to keep the rooms clean. Sit down dinner was wonderful, the food and service there was top notch! I had breakfast and lunch at Red Sail, food was great there too! Also, you could eat pizza all day and sushi from 5-8:15 daily. There were activities all day on the ship and many clubs and bars to go to. My complaint is the smoking. On the upper decks smoking was allowed on one side of the ship. Inside the boat there were only a handful of places smoking was allowed, but they were all on one deck, so for me (someone who is sensitive to smoke) was unable to really enjoy anything on that deck since it seemed there was a wall of smoke. Drinks were great, port of call in Saint John was nice.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I enjoyed many of the activities. Everything was fun and entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
99% of the staff was excellent. The only minorly irritating experience was at the sushi bar. My husband is a strict vegetarian and does not eat fish. After waiting in a rather long line for four pieces of sushi I wanted to ask for a few more pieces of the fish-free kind being served. The gentleman said "try everything ma'am" and moved onto the next customer. I felt it was rude and my husband was unable to enjoy sushi that night.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was clean and in good repair.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The room served it's purpose. I could have used more hangers, I didn't take the time to ask for them. I spent very little time in my room.

Ports of call

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
My husband and I opted to walk St. John. Most other passengers seemed to take a boat tour or the pink tour buses. We started by walking about 2 miles to the Reversing Falls. It was a bit of a walk, some of it uphill wear comfy shoes and have a water bottle as there are no fountains along the way. We also walked around the town, a lot of hills again. We checked out shops and the city market. I think this port is good if you like to wander a city and meet the locals. We ate lunch Rosas Mexicali (?) on King Street, food was great! Also, had drinks at Grannins outside seating off the boardwalk. Every local we met was friendly!

Pros: The service on the ship.

Cons: There were many places smoking was allowed on the boat.
