Western Caribbean by azpalm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Ship is dated but not to bad. Food in main dining room needs to be better. Cabin was great. Service great every where on the ship. Loved the pizza and the deliver anywhere option. Chefs table was good. Steakhouse was great! We did it the first night and the last night. Do the steakhouse the first night and you get a free bottle of wine. Always love the soft serve ice cream. This was my fourth cruise, all with carnival. I want to do Alaska next, might try another line next time.

New Orleans ....always a good time by C2C

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Platinum party was held in the Comedy Club. Surprisingly, no one checked on the validity of those being platinum. Very nice appetizers and ongoing cocktails flowed. Diamond party-went very well, was held in the piano lounge, probably about 10-15 diamonds/guests onboard. Excellent appetizers and cocktails! Captain and Officers were genuine and friendly. Great Picture taken and brought to our room.

2nd cruise I enjoyed as much as my first cruise. The staff work very hard to make people enjoy themselves. I hope they get the recognition they deserve.

Great vacation by ashlup9103

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory

We had a great trip even though we had 2 Med-flights come pickup people with medical emergencies and a “man overboard” that was a false alarm. We never got off schedule and we had a blast! Much needed relaxation!

The glory is fantastic! Probably one of our favorite ships currently. The cruise director cookie and the captain really did make the cruise what it was.

So much fun! by BRYNNGREENE

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory

The Carnival Glory was amazing. The day before we got on it hit the Carnival Legend. Thus, it had a gaping hole in the back of it. The first night we did not leave New Orleans and we were forced to eat dinner in either the anytime dining or the buffet. I was disappointed, but I understand why they did that. The crew needed to prep the damage on the ship for departure. Due to us not leaving port on the first day, we were given $100 onboard credit for each stateroom. The rest of the cruise was smooth sailing from there, other than the Platinum dining room being closed for breakfast a few days. I had so much!! The shows were great. My favorite part was the Piano Bar. We had a lovely piano man, Tony, playing for us and he always made me laugh. I'm so happy I spent my Christmas on this ship.

Another GREAT Christmas cruise!!! by ktuggle24

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory

Even our worst cruise was fabulous! It's about being on vacation, relaxing and spending time with family and friends! Don't book a cruise if you're unable to relax, entitled, or just a pain in the ass. There are going to be a lot of people which means there will be lines. RELAX! You're on vacation.

Wasn't sure what to expect as had some damage done to it. Had lots of smells & noise from repairs which made it impossible to sit on balcony.

Enjoyed the Glory! by Rehlah

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory

The negative reviews of Glory are totally lost on us. This was our 2nd cruise on Glory in 2 months. This is a good size ship: not massive but not small. Crew/staff are so friendly. Dining room experience both cruises was great! We thought the ship was in good shape - see my comments below for more details. If people want a brand new looking ship, then sail on a brand new ship!!Any ship that has been on the water for any length of time will have a few rust spots from the salty air and water. That’s just a fact. Apparently a lot of people just look for things to complain about. We were on the cruise involving the accident with the Legend in Cozumel, and we still had a great cruise! We never even knew we hit another ship until the Captain announced it. Fortunately there were only minor injuries to 6 passengers, and the Platinum dining room was only closed for one night as a result of the damage. We stayed in Cozumel until almost 11PM that night so that repairs could be made to make the ship seaworthy. We arrived aback at NOLA safely. At no time did we feel we were in any danger. We would not hesitate to sail with CCL again! We had a great dining room experience - great food and waiters! All production shows were great! Comedians were just okay. Our only complaint on this cruise was about the passengers- lots of very rude and ill mannered people. Their kids were the same, running through the halls near the cabins at all hours of the day....but not Carnival’s fault. Looking forward to our next Carnival cruise in Jan 2020!
