Review summary

Even our worst cruise was fabulous! It's about being on vacation, relaxing and spending time with family and friends! Don't book a cruise if you're unable to relax, entitled, or just a pain in the ass. There are going to be a lot of people which means there will be lines. RELAX! You're on vacation.

From exiting our vehicle to on board, less than 15 minutes! Very efficient.

Food was fabulous. Never a subpar meal.

Food was great! Suastika and Joseph took very good care of us and were a pleasure as a wait staff.

Only ate at the buffet a couple of time but the food was great.

Onboard Activities

The shows and activities were top quality. The cruise director, Cookie, made the cruise! He is great! He has signed a long term contract to stay on the Glory. Go check him out!

Amber Palace Main Lounge

We really like the leg room and tables in Carnival's main theaters. Epic Rock is a REALLY good show as is Motor City.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff members had great attitudes. We had lengthy conversations with many of them. Our Steward, Paul, was great. We were glad to learn that the Glory will be in Jamaica soon and he will get to see his family. Our departure was delayed 17 hours while they made repairs to the "Glory Hole". They let people disembark the morning of day 2 with a full refund and there were a few that took them up on their offer (some folks just can't relax). For those of us that stayed, they gave $100 stateroom credit which more than covered the taxes on the drinks.

Ship Quality

The ship was clean and the staff was constantly cleaning. Cabin was always clean thanks to Paul. They did a wonderful job with temporary repairs to the damage created by the "finder bender" with the Legend. Work continued on that and other general maintenance and repairs for the duration of the cruise. Didn't bother us. As a Navy vet, I understand what is necessary to keep the ship afloat and looking nice for those cruising. Some people get really uptight.

Cabin / Stateroom

Forgot to take pictures prior to loading all of our crap into the room. Cabin was well appointed and the balcony was nice.

Ship tip

Take time to see the shows!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Booked an excursion to the Chochoben ruins with Native Choice. Edder and Maridona were great guides. What a neat place.

Disembarkation

Went fairly well. It could always go smoother if people weren't so entitled and could follow simple instructions. Your cabin has been on the same deck all week and suddenly you have moved from an upper to a lower deck when disembarking.
