same old same old for Carnival by zgoofy1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

headliners were virtually non existent. A group of five singers did a medley of rock n roll hits. The rest were comics/jugglers. Don't they have a dedicated comedy club for comics? Didn't really see room steward until the end of the cruise. Had to call housekeeping for extra towels which he didn't always deliver. Only cleaned room in morning. Lido breakfast and lunch left much to be desired. Music venues at pool and lobby were ear drum busting loud. Had to yell drink order to bartender. Loud music is not better. This cruise was incredibly inexpensive. Some friends told me about the rate. Wouldn't have sailed if it was the normal price. Guess it will be another 5 years before I choose Carnival.

Carnival Glory Feb 13-20 by revdb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory

The cruise was good because we needed a break. We are in the platinum level so we have been to all the ports many times in the Western Caribbean. We wanted to relax and be laid back. This is what we did and it was wonderful!

Carnival Glory by DavidAnnBriwn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We knew cruising during COVID restrictions we needed to be open for change. We chose cruise for itinerary and it did not disappoint. Our cabin steward went Over and beyond to make our cruise special. We do not attend many shows and did not know until night 3 there were no singers or dancers. We never saw the Cruise Director we would not have know we had one if they did not tell us. Some passages behavior banging on counter demanding service was a bit much. Too many Karen’s were locked up too long during quarantine. But it did not ruin our cruise it just left us shaking our heads. Food was not up too par but we were not sailing g for food. We would just go grab a snack out and about.

Unexpectedly Amazing by WhitneynBrycen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I impulsively booked a 7-day cruise for my 4-year-old son and I 3 days before its departure. Crazy Idea, I know! But I just needed a quick getaway before my new contract starts. I called the Carnival 1800 number and talked to a guy with a heavy accent. He assured me that my son would be in the Pelicans group of Camp Ocean. I was shocked to find out that my son would not be able to participate in Camp Ocean due to being 4 and unvaccinated. I learned all of this after the boat left the dock and I was stuck on vacation for 7 days with no ACTUAL BREAK! To matters worse, I learned all this bad news from an uncaring, unempathetic Guest Service Manager name Dean, who seemed unremorseful about my situation while explaining that I would not be able to get off the boat. "These are the rules and there will be no exceptions" were his exact emotionless words. I was screaming on the inside! I was devastated! I wanted off that ship and I wanted my money back! On day 1 I knew this trip would be HORRIBLE and Stressful. However, I communicated my concerns to a Guest Service employee name Na'el. He was sooo Amazing! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! THANKS FOR CARING FOR MY DISADVANTAGE. THANKS FOR CHECKING ON US. THANKS FOR BEING AMAZING! Thanks for making sure my son had an amazing experience despite being unvaccinated. Thanks for sending me drink coupons for dinner to unwind from a long day of keeping my son entertained! Those gestures made our trip AMAZING. My son said he loved it even without being able to experience the camp. You are AMAZING Na'el and we were grateful to have you looking after us while cruising with Carnival. We will be back after my son is fully vaccinated to enjoy the full Carnival Cruise experience and hopefully we will be able to cruise with you. Excellent Western Caribbean Cruise by dayday59

Very few passengers onboard. Service was excellent everywhere I visited onboard. Food in the Main Dining Room was very good; hamburgers and fries at Guy's Burgers were great. Staff was friendly.

If you ever get a chance to go on this particular cruise with these ports, then you should go. This was one of our favorites and already want to go back to these ports. This was one of the best anniversary trips ever.

It was nice to get back on a cruise. No issues with people not wearing masks. Loved that the casino was smoke free, hope they keep it that way. It was much cleaner...

Great family time! by lorileighe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a great time with my parents on this cruise. We had never cruised at Christmas and the ship was beautiful. Having only cruised before over Spring Break, Graduation, and the 4th of July, I found this cruise to be more chill, more people having family time, playing games etc. Loved all the Christmas pj’s. We had a great time.

Christmas Disappointment by Haljo1935

Very disappointed in change of room service - no longer included, everything costs. Cabin steward Adi was THE BEST CABIN STEWARD I'VE HAD ON ANY CRUISELINE!

What a great Christmas Cruise by wangfam112

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory

This was our first Christmas Cruise, our first cruise out of New Orleans, and our first cruise on an older ship class. Although it was a neat experience sailing at Christmas, we found out that we are not winter cruisers (the temp is obviously cooler but even more so than we expected when at sea, and with only about 9 hours of sunlight the day flew by). Going out of NOLA is an awesome experience. And although the Glory is an older ship, it still has everything need to keep you happy and full.
