The cruise was good because we needed a break. We are in the platinum level so we have been to all the ports many times in the Western Caribbean. We wanted to relax and be laid back. This is what we did and it was wonderful!
Embarkation

Embarkation went smoothly once it began. There was no explanation as to the delay. We were scheduled to get on between 10 and 10:30 am but were delayed until 11:30 am for some reason. One thing that did not work was the staged arrivals. People were herded in there like cattle and they ran out of seating before boarding started.

Food and Dining

The Hub worked well with the dining selections. We were in the Platinum Restaurant which was hard to get to. The ship design in getting to this restaurant is ridiculous. The food in the MDR was good once it got there. Our servers were extremely slow. We went to the early dining. We would order and not get our appetizers until after 6:30 when the tables around us were getting their entrees by then. The maitre D was alerted but it never got any better.
Guy’s Burgers and the Blue Iguana were excellent as usual. We did the sea day brunch for the first time. It was horrible. Food was cold, service was slow. They did not have any filet mignon which is why we went to get the steak and eggs. I was disappointed in this after so many of our friends had bragged about how good it was. If our servers had been more efficient, we would have given this a 4 or a 5.
Onboard Activities

Though covid restricted and understanding that, we had fun in what we did do. The trivia games were fun except when the drunks tried to answer questions from the upper decks in the lobby. There were several people walking through the lobby shouting out the answers to things while the game is going on.
Service and Staff

Our room steward, Rommel, was the best part of our trip. Always a smile and warm greeting and meeting our needs. I would have given this a 5 if our cruise director had done a good job. Cam was there to introduce comedians and variety acts but outside of that, we never saw him. He did not interact with anyone. I do not understand that even in a pandemic time. Put on a mask and get out with the people.
The staff overall was friendly and trying to please us. Everyone of the employees we met throughout the ship greeted us and asked us consistently if we needed anything.
Maitre D was excellent in the dining room but even he could not fix our slow service at meals.
Ship Quality

Design is good except for getting to the Platinum Restaurant.. Ship needs some upgrades. Everything was clean and well maintained but the Glory is starting to show her age.
Cabin / Stateroom

Rommel kept it clean and organized. The only issue was the air conditioning. It never cooled the room. We called maintenance and they came but said it was working to their standards. Sorry, it was not. I do not think it ever got below 70 in there the whole week.
Beautiful place. We went to Tabyana Beach but it rained and stormed while there. We did not get to enjoy the snorkel experience but the beach was great. The weather stunk but what can you do?
We shopped in the port area and went exploring down the street to the lighthouse. We did not do an excursion because it was raining when we arrived there. We walked around after it cleared for a while.
We were scheduled to be in the Platinum Restaurant at 7:15 to self assist and carry off your own luggage. They started disembarkation about 7:10 and we were on I-10 heading out by 7:30. Very smooth and orderly.
