Review summary

We knew cruising during COVID restrictions we needed to be open for change. We chose cruise for itinerary and it did not disappoint. Our cabin steward went Over and beyond to make our cruise special. We do not attend many shows and did not know until night 3 there were no singers or dancers. We never saw the Cruise Director we would not have know we had one if they did not tell us. Some passages behavior banging on counter demanding service was a bit much. Too many Karen’s were locked up too long during quarantine. But it did not ruin our cruise it just left us shaking our heads. Food was not up too par but we were not sailing g for food. We would just go grab a snack out and about.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Other than comedians there was minimal entertainment. No singers, dancers or performers. Food was lacking definitely was not to temperature. We generally do not eat in buffet but it was surprisingly good. Guys burgers and pizza was always hot and fresh. Chefs table was great experience but food was not to temperature on few fish and poultry dishes so we ate around. We are at the steakhouse the first evening and were not disappointed.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
We were just happy to cruise we did not have to fight over pool chairs. If we did not know there was a cruise director on board we would have never known we had one.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Only entertainment for most part were 3 comedians. No stage shows during our sailing

Children's Programs

We are empty nesters

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Waiters and room steward went over and beyond to make our cruise experience great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
There was an over abundance of storage space. Large room not claustrophobic. We loved the room.

Ship tip

Be open to change and do not expect too much. Just be happy to be sailing.

Cruising at it's best or worse, is always what you make it. We have been in hurricanes, missed ports, had activities cancel and had rain every day on sea days. It is your vacation, make the most of it! Pivot and choose a new direction! You never know what other adventures await!
