Not the best by RonS6

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship was nice. The food ran out on Wednesday and we were happy! It tasted terrible. One night we had 7 string beans for our veggie! The presentation was sad and the taste left alot to be desired! We were not alone in this observance, our neighboring tables asked "What is this?" The guy was from Boston and could not believe what they called lobster!

Great cruise, highly recommended! by SusanE7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was very clean, sparkling, and interior furnishings sumptuous and new in appearance, the itinerary was incredible, and the value outstanding! I can't think of very much that would have made this much better! The crew was friendly, polite and service outstanding... we were treated like VIP's all the way! I have been on several different lines and this is as close to the top-of-the-line newest ships experience as a person can get!!! I HIGHLY recommend this cruise ship, and the itinerary! Splurge and go on the excursions, whether through Carnival or independantly, it will greatly add to the overall experience!

Good cruise, with a lousy but pricey tour by WilliamA11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Glory is a beautiful, large ship, with helpful crew. Elevator waits were nearly always very long. We resorted to using the stairs quite often. The Amber Palace shows were sub-par, except for the singers/dancers, but they did not perform often. The comedians were not very good. The juggler and magician were OK.

A terrific experience. by PrettyUnlimited

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

A wonderful experience, great helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food and great dining facility with entertainment by the wait staff. The ship is beautiful and very clean. The ports of call were great but our favorite was ST. Martin. The tour was excellent and the shopping was great. The stateroom was beautiful, clean with great storage and the bathroom and dressing area were exceptional.

An Experience to Be Remembered by MaryS53

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our recent sailing on Carnival Glory was our 2nd cruise. Our other cruise was to celebrate the Millenium, so that cruise is hard to beat. Glory was not as large or glamorous as Enchantment of the Seas, but THE CREW WAS THE GREATEST, from cabin steward to pool bar tender. The enterainment was also great, we had heard bad reports from neighbors and were prepared to just enjoy ourselfs, but we have no complaints whatsoever. The food was excellent, head waiter said they were trying a new menu which was great. Dinning Room crew entertained each evening and went out of their way to make sure everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. We will cruise again with Carnival!

Vanilla Sky by ChrisC35

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This being my first cruise I may have had expectations that were too high. However I must say that certain aspects of the trip were dissapointing. The food quality, which everyone raved about before I left, was poor at best. I would have expected that it knock my socks off and it didn't. Don't get me wrong, there was an abundance of food available, however it was restaurant-chain quality rather than top notch city quality. The dining room staff was exceptional, the stateroom staff was poor. Overall the trip was good, not great, but good. For that reason I will most likely try another cruise line in the future. One interesting note was that the cruise director late in the week was speaking to the group about the comment cards, he told us that if we didn't rate each experience as "exceeded my expectations" then they weren't doing their jobs. Too bad he waited until the end of the week to solicit the feedback, I may have had a better trip otherwise.

Terrific Holiday Cruise by Elaine7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had taken 3 previous cruises on Royal Caribbean so trying Carnival was new for us. I would have to say that Carnival Cruise Lines was just as good as Royal Caribbean. The Carnival Glory was a wonderful ship, the service on board was first class, the food was terrific and we really liked the route the ship took. The cruise staff went way beyond our expectations, they did everyting possible to make our trip exceptional. We would certainly sail with them again.

Absolutely amazing! by ShannonM8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was the most wonderfully amazing vacation ever! We got to relax and also do a lot of activities. We saw 3 places that we have never seen before and just had the best time ever. There was such a wide range of activities that there was no time to be bored but we could also just lounge by the pool all day. We were also surprised when we boarded to find out that we had been upgraded from an oceanview to a balcony. Definitely the way to go!

Far from glorious by ReneeH1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my eighth cruise and definitely the worst. I would never take another Carnival cruise. The ship is tacky and poorly designed. Carnival used to have really fun activity schedules, but that seems to have gone by the wayside. Apparently all their guests want to do is eat, drink, smoke and gamble, so very litte is going on around the ship besides that. The crowd was loud and obnoxious, and much of the staff were glum or outright rude. The astonishing amount of second-hand smoke made it virtually impossible to remain in any of the clubs at night without getting a crushing headache.

Nice Getaway Cruise by VickiR1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship was well maintained. We found most areas easy to access, with one particular exception - the Internet Cafe. It was tucked away inside a nightclub with no other access. Not a very good design.

BAD EXPERIENCE ON CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES by SusanB44

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We have cruised 4 times before, but this was our first and last time with Carnival Cruises. We had the worst experience ever. We saved all year and had a miserable time. The shore excursions were overe priced. Disembarktation was a nightmare, we were told our room tag was generic, and they dont call grey. I thought they were kidding. We were considered GENERIC, wonderful. Thanks to them we almost missed our plane,We will never ever cruise with them. The food on the boat was horrible. How can they serve such food. I am so disappointed i could cry. As we are an elderly couple and saved all year for this. It is just a crying shame.

Overall, a great cruise! by JudyB16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was clean and had a friendly, helpful staff. It's a difficult ship to get around on - took us until 4 or 5 days into the cruise to figure out the direction for everything. I've never had that problem before out of the 4 cruises I've been on. The food was good but not top of the line.

a great cruise by ChristaN

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We recently cruised the Carnival Glory and it was amazing. This was my first cruise but my fiance's second. The ship was so clean and I loved walking into our stateroom and the bed was always made. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was great but i really expected to see more fancy fruit carvings and stuff like that. I wish I could have spent more time in the casino but all the cigarette smoke made me sick. I couldn't stand walking through any of the night clubs because of the smoke as well. But overall i though it was amazing.

A Great Cruise by PhyllisG4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship was beautiful and had lots of activities to participate in. We sailed the Glory from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas, St Thomas and St Maarten. We found it easy to manuver around the ship and especially enjoyed the casino. It seemed like we were on a floating resort with all the amenities.
