Learn the ship map before you cruise. Once you know where everything is its easier to get around.

Try the coffee shop early in the AM to interact with various ships crew from engineering, etc. Pricing is very reasonable and a good latte as well!

Come with lots of patience, I would travel on a newer carnival cruise line not an older one. They step up there game and I know by my experience, it was a lot better and the staff seem to be a lot happier.

Choose a different port and ship, from what I have experienced Tampa and port Canaveral are so much better, faster, and more friendly. I can honestly say I will never sail from Ft. Lauderdale, or on the conquest again.
