Review summary

This was a complete turn around from the last cruise we had been on with Carnival. To the Captain and Crew of the Conquest you did a fantastic job and we look forward to our next cruise with Carnival, only because of the fantastic job you had done. Thank You.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
2nd cruise. Somewhat familiar with the process for boarding. This ship is in greater condition than the last one we had been on, which was "newly refurbished" (carnival sunshine).

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the variety of food, from the buffet to the sushi bar and the deli. We did not purchase the drink card because it is too expensive for two adults as we do not spend that much on adult beverages over the course of a year.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The shows were plentiful and an enjoyable experience. The pools were drained each evening, very clean and spacious. Great layout for this ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the comedy show(s), maybe just not the political views.... The 80s flashback show and the rock/guitar solo show were great!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Onboard club 02 and teen club were great. Kids were rarely to be seen at sea and had a fantastic time!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Where to start? Herry was our housekeeper, he was very friendly and did a great job! Norwell was our waiter, he was hilarious, friendly and made our cruise memorable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Well thought out. Staff and crew were very presentable and crew worked hard to keep everything in order. Love the pool location mid and aft location, very nice, enjoyed swimming and hot tub(s).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the drop down beds for the kids and the king size bed. Room was very "cool" the ac worked great and the TV shows and satellite were acceptable reception given our location.

Ship tip

There are plenty of shows to see, its also on a tight schedule so choose carefully, they are all great!

Ports of call

Was advised to use caution in this port for theft, crime, etc.... enjoyed walking with others through the shopping area nearby and picked up some cheap t-shirts. Enjoyed starbucks also, nice shopping area in town.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Well organized. Was able to go ashore in a timely manner without question or aggravation.

how refreshing to read a review like this. most people who have a not so great first cruise just bash and say they will never return to carnival. Open minds and second chances are great. So glad it worked in your favor. :)
