Worse Cruise ever utter shambles no consideration of people who have saved up for trip of life time only to be held hostage unless extra money was used to get you out on there Terms

Lovely staycation on Britannia by MrsBogger

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia

Even though this was just a staycation cruise down the south west of England, we had a fabulous time and one of the best cruises! We loved the ship, we paid extra for the retreat which was well worth the money as the pools and sun beds were taken from early morning and we always got a bed in the retreat.

A cruise to Cornwall and back! by ladyMaz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Britannia

The cruise to nowhere is a nice break away but I found using the App a bit stressful. I want to lock my phone in the safe and stay off it on holiday but spent the whole time informing my party how many guests were ahead of us in the queue. Some of my comments may sound a bit negative, they may be but we had a lovely time celebrating a family birthday. The cruise is what you make it. Its not like cruising pre covid but I don't suppose it will ever be the same again.

Cruise to nowhere by ants1980

It was a cruise to nowhere. After having so many cruises cancelled owing to COVID it was so good to be back at sea. Loved it and made the most of having 3 ship days!

Fabulous entertainment at all times. 2nd time on Britainnia and liked the 2nd time better. It was better managed, dress code adhered to and the staff were more attentive. It was a staycation trip, very relaxing and we still didn’t do everything on the ship

A holiday that never really happened due to the virus, what should have been a 15 day cruise turned into a 8 day Atlantic crossing back to Southampton, we will be booking again to do the same cruise.

2nd Amazing Caribbean Cruise on Britannia by jesspopkin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia / Destination: Caribbean

We’re back after another fantastic Caribbean cruise on Britannia. We did same cruise 14 months ago so knew what to expect but this time we did tours through P&O and Cosol tours in St Lucia rather than our own thing. Ship looks amazing after refit. 🚢All areas easily accessible even without midship stairs. We thoroughly enjoyed walking from one end to the other visiting every public space (we’re very lucky we are able to). It was a great way to familiarise ourselves again where everything was. 🚢 The Headliner shows we saw were just excellent. Sound of the Underground is a must see. The acts were great too. The entire crew work endlessly to ensure you are well cared for from cabin stewards, waiting staff, bar staff to chefs. 🚢 We did the ships galley tour which was so informative and fantastic to see what goes on behind the scenes. Over 16000 meals prepared EACH DAY‼️ if you can get on it it’s well worth the money. Champagne and canapés included and informative talks from chefs. 🚢 We loved dressing up each evening and there are some stunning outfits out there. It was so lovely to see people so happy. Plenty of venues to sit and relax both pre & after meals. Atrium, Brodie’s, Java, Blue Bar to name a few. All very comfortable too. If you don’t want to dress up there are venues you can choose which are less formal. Horizon, glass house. Limelight club. 🚢 The restaurants have a very efficient way of allocating tables at your request. We were freedom dining so ate at different times but never waited for more that 20 minutes. Just enough time to get a cheeky G&T. Food was excellent both in presentation and amount. We were spoilt for choice. On a couple of occasions we ate in The Horizon which again was magnificent in choices. We also ate in The Glass House and Sindhu. Excellent choices. 🚢 The Lido deck is a hive of activity all day. Great music, quizzes, crew competitions. You can get involved or not totally upto you. Also has costa coffee, and eateries if you choose not to eat inside. The serenity pool was lovely too. Adults only and waiter service available. Yes the sun beds are all covered in towels first thing and this is an ongoing issue that P&O really should manage better but there didn’t seem to be anyone monitoring it and there are definitely some selfish, and privileged feeling guests out there. However I personally always managed to secure a bed on deck mainly I think because I only needed one as hubby sat in the shaded areas, and I was never on deck that early so a few beds were always available. 🚢 we did 4 P&O trips. Swimming with Turtles Barbados. Catamaran to underwater statues followed by lobster lunch on Hog Island in Grenada. Railway in St Kitts and Swimming with stingrays in Antigua. We also did a private tour in St Lucia with Cosol Tours (2nd time). Every trip without exception was excellent. Other days we did our own thing in ports. 🚢 If I have one gripe it has to be The Live Lounge. It’s a lovely venue that hosts good acts. However having been on 2 cruises on Britannia we have encountered issues with the seating in there. First time we chose seats just behind the barrier by the entrance. We were there very early as we wanted to see a specific act. however when the theatre emptied at 8:30 pm the crowd streamed in and over 100 people stood directly in front of the barrier rending our view of the stage to zero. This offended a lot of guests who had been waiting patiently to see the act. Unfortunately there was a lot of unpleasantness between those seated and standing. Exactly the same thing happened last week even though we sat in different seats. I feel the way the Live Lounge is set up with various levels cordoned with barriers it automatically lends itself for guests to stand there when no seats are available. As I say that is honestly the only issue I have with this beautiful ship and we addressed it by choosing other venues of which there are plenty. That’s it folks. If you’re lucky enough to be going on Britannia anytime soon I sincerely hope you bring back some precious memories as we have. Happy Cruising 🚢

good enjoyable cruise unable to recommend p&o because of expensive wi-fi by Barry55

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia / Destination: Caribbean

The service was superb except for the Wi-Fi and that service is abysmal and too expensive - it should be free like other cruise companies are now providing. Because of the Wi-Fi or lack of it, I would be unable to recommend your company to anyone. Unfortunately I have already booked other cruises with P&O but I wish I had not (purely because of the Wi-Fi). Wi-Fi is so much a part of peoples lives now and this should be recognized by P&O. Would have been 5 stars if Wi-Fi had been provided for free.

P&O Britannia by wiremanuk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia / Destination: Caribbean

We have previously cruised the eastern Caribbean and this cruise was mainly a break in the sun so we did not take many trips. Britannia is a good ship and the only real criticism is the dumbing down of the sail away by banning flags and “British” anthems.

Fantastic cruise! by SoniaG

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia / Destination: Caribbean

We have had a cruise to remember. I couldn't fault the staff or the service on the ship, they were amazing. The tours were well organised and well worth paying for. The ship is busy, but if you avoid peak times in the Horizon, there is plenty of space. The main pool is always busy on sea days and you have to be tolerant of the 'sunlounger issue' which has happened on every cruise I've been on! We always eventually found a space. I would definitely recommend Britannia for a holiday.

Brilliant by lanzarote04

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia / Destination: Caribbean

Great ship, great destinations, fantastic holiday. The whole experience on Britannia was totally positive. Beware the maritime phone networks. If you have a roaming plan from your network it doesn’t cover this so everything is chargeable and it’s not cheap.

First Caribbean cruise and would go again. Not the best cruise line we have used, but good value for the price. Very impressed by the captain and how he kept us informed of changes.

Great cruise and destination by Deedream

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia / Destination: Caribbean

Great atmosphere on board for Christmas and New Year and loved the destinations. The Captain did a great job with his daily announcements and the build up to Christmas for the children on board. The food was very good and there was a wide selection of drinks. Our favourite place to go for drinks in the evening was the Crow’s Nest on deck 16. Most of the staff were very good, but some were indifferent and uncommunicative. This was a shame as it slightly marred the overall experience.
