Review summary

We have had a cruise to remember. I couldn't fault the staff or the service on the ship, they were amazing. The tours were well organised and well worth paying for. The ship is busy, but if you avoid peak times in the Horizon, there is plenty of space. The main pool is always busy on sea days and you have to be tolerant of the 'sunlounger issue' which has happened on every cruise I've been on! We always eventually found a space. I would definitely recommend Britannia for a holiday.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth and organised.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room food was excellent. We also ate in the Sindhu and Epicurean restaurants as well as the Limelight Club which were well worth the service charge. The Eric Lanlard cakes were awesome!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We tried a couple of the on board activities such as shuffleboard and archery but although well organised, they were crowded.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Ships entertainment was of a high standard and well worth seeing

Children's Programs

We had no children with us so can't comment.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All absolutely outstanding. The cabin steward kept the cabin spotless and all the ship was kept to a high standard. We never had to wait to be served anywhere on the ship even at busy times.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The common areas were spotlessly clean but Britannia has no stairs midships making the lifts very overcrowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a standard balcony cabin and although the shower room was amall, it was very adequate. The beds were amazingly comfortable.

Ship tip

You have booked a great ship! The cruise is what you make it. It can be noisy on the Lido deck around the main pool so if you want peace and quiet, use the Serenity pool. Be patient with the lifts and if you can use the stairs, do - its better for your waistline!

Ports of call

Castries, St. Lucia

4 out of 5
We didn't see much of St Lucia as it was our arrival port, but it seemed good.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We did our own tour here from the quayside. It's a nice island with good views.

St. John's, Antigua

A nice port with good shopping. We didn't do a tour here.

Disembarkation
