Review summary

Great cruise. We re-booked for next year whilst on the ship

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Wonderfully easy using Tui and not seeing our cases between checking in at Birmingham and having them delivered to our cabin was great as was being taken from the runway directly to the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Great although the desserts looked more tasty than they were

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Free fitness classes were excellent and kept the weight down and the fitness up

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Very good - as good as any on the 3 cruises we have been on in the last year

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone worked very hard - they were friendly, courteous and always made a point of acknowledging us

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everywhere was kept clean and seemed to be

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin was a balcony cabin, mid-ship and whilst we have stayed in larger it was ok. There were few drawers and an open storage area but we would have preferred more cupboards and drawers

Ports of call

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Fantastic. There is a Woolworths store in Bridgetown and the Boatyard on Carlisle Beach was great

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Looked like a giant dolls house village with beautifully painted buildings. Shopping was good too. Try the swing bridge

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Very up-market mall in Aruba and Eagle beach was good other than the freak sandstorm which blew up and sent us back to the ship

St. George's, Grenada

5 out of 5
Grand Anse Beach was one of the best beaches on the cruise

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Catamaran to the Pitons was a good half day out and the company was very entertaining!

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
Railway trip - saw the poor side of St Kitts as well as the scenery but very enjoyable. Afternoon was the best time for us

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
Dickinson Beach was very pleasant

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Great shopping on the Front Street and a fantastic Beach, pretty much as good as Grand Anse and Carlisle Beach

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Again top notch organisation by P&O we filled in the immigration forms and then were screened on the ship on the day of departure. It took 7 minutes which compares well to the usual customs and passport checks at US airports
