One of our Best Ever Cruises by charylb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Edge

Celebrity Edge was one of the best ships we've ever sailed on. The Capt and crew and all of the staff were great .... Celebrity....please don't stop the perks. Like turn down service at night, Canvas tote bags, hot Choc when we arrived back...so many of the pre-pandemic perks are still there with Celebrity. Loved it!

Enjoyable trip with a great menu by fhk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Zaandam

We had previously taken the same cruise on Princess. The embarkation/disembarkation process was way better. We enjoyed visiting a number of museums that we missed last time. Holland America has a great new menu with excellent sea food options. Unfortunately, they often overcooked the food.

I did not think the food tasted as good as many years ago, but I am older now, so maybe me.

Amazing Alaskan Cruise by CAMarsh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess

The Majestic Princess is a beautiful ship that well maintained and very clean. The dining room service was good but slow at times. Most meals were close to two hours in length. That seems excessive to me. But overall, we had a great time and Princess will be at the top of my list when it comes time to plan out next cruise.

Alaskan Dream, Inconsistent Experiences by Staff by sdupont6897

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Koningsdam

Overall it was good cruise. Comparing other cruises and the price paid for this one, in addition to Holland America Lines reputation, left me wanting a lot more. Moving forward I would sail on Holland America again, but I would not seek it out as a cruise line. I would be very weary of in the future.

Disappointing from - Great from Royal Caribbean by mrchris1977

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

The whole reason of booking with a company like was to avoid exactly what happened...walking into my cabin for the first time, going to my balcony and seeing nothing but a huge ugly yellow lifeboat in my way. We wound up covering the balcony with our luggage so we wouldn't be disappointed each time we looked out the balcony. I understand that i paid for a balcony guarantee room, and that this could be a possibility. But my original cabin was not obstructed at all...i know this for a fact because we wound up speaking to the people that wound up getting this room in the end.

Great sights, but too many people by Murdoughnut

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

While Alaska is amazing, this ship is large, and crowds took away from the onboard experience. This cruise attracts a lot of people on opposite ends of the age spectrum. For many seniors this is a bucket list trip, and it wasn't uncommon to be stuck behind them as they struggled to move through the ship. There were also a large number of wheelchair bound passengers that made catching elevators difficult sometimes. Our cruise also had over 1,000 kids. This did not bother us at all, but something to note. Because this cruise attracts a lot of large, extended families, people often arrived at the buffet in large groups - which made seating extremely limited. We did feel that everything was of slightly lower quality than our previous Princess Cruise last year, despite costing us more.

Fun but the food could be better. by anapaulino

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

A nice cruise but you really need to improve the food in the dining room. You should also consider having an actual captain's night like other cruises do. The app was helpful but it would be nice if it gave you notifications that you had a message. You should also add more info on the app regarding the dinner attire and maybe even the menu for the dinning room.

Scenic Alaskan cruise with excellent food and service by DHart710

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

Since this is the biggest ship I've ever been on I was very impressed. (Though I've heard it's not the biggest or newest.) The ship was adequately sized for myself and seemed very clean and modern. I was very impressed with the staff and how friendly professional and knowledgeable they were. Special shout out to the main dining room staff. Activities were great and loved the excursions and ports.

We know we want to sail again, perhaps to the south next time. But no matter where our destination may be, we'll travel with Royal Caribbean!

Sub Par by captainjude65

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Luminosa

I would never sail on the Luminosa again. Most everyone I chatted with all felt the same way about the Luminosa. The excursions were amazing but the ship was sub par to the other ships they sailed on. The chatter around the decks was generally people complaining
