We thoroughly enjoyed our excursions. The embarkation with Discovery Princess was seamless and very organized. Even when tendered in Ketchikan. Seamless.

The food was top notch in the dining rooms and buffet. We enjoyed our speciality dinner at Gigi's Pizzarea. The servers are all top notch as well.
Onboard Activities

We did not do any onboard activities. But went through the fitness center and hung out near the pool and hot tubs. Well maintained and clean.
Entertainment

We enjoyed the ships stage shows especially the Illusionist, the Rock Opera, the acrobatic comedy couple, and Farewell Variety Show. The entertainment in Pizzaza was enjoyable as well.

The waiters were amazing. Quickly provided drinks and refills. Professional, friendly, and polite. Our stateroom Steward was all those and more.

Bed comfortable, temperature comfortable and stateroom steward kept cabin clean.
Ship tip
Bring a reusable water bottle so you can refill and not purchase bottled water from onboard bars. Dress comfortable but still make dinner reservations in one of the 3 dining rooms. Arrive the day before leaving and stay the day after returning to port.
Skagway is a cute old fashioned town. We loved our White Pass Summit train ride and bus tour. The Skagway seafood restaurant at the port was delicious.
We enjoyed this port. We took a bus tour and a tour off the Saxman Totem Park and Eagle Point. Would have enjoyed seeing bears at the creek stop and the Salmon Ladder.
We stayed on board at this port because we were only there for 2.5 hours (9:00 p m -11:30 p.m.) and downtown was 1.5 miles from port and hear some shots were closed .)
It sounds like you had a wonderful cruise. I am surprised by your ratings for several categories. The Discovery Princess is a fantastic ship with an amazing and hardworking crew.
