Review summary

We know we want to sail again, perhaps to the south next time. But no matter where our destination may be, we'll travel with Royal Caribbean!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Everyone at Seattle's port was so helpful and friendly. The nervousness I felt quickly left, especially as we began to smoothly sail away.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The buffet's selection was wonderful and the food there was as good as it was in the main dining rooms. We actually only ate in the dining room twice because of this.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Grat selection of activities. We only chose to do the pool and hot tub...both of which were wonderful.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great shows! The live entertainment was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the comedian, special guest performer and the musical.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters were always very friendly and made certain you were satisfied with your meals. Our stewards (we had two because we had to change rooms during our cruise) were both so kind and caring.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was always clean, and we really liked the design of its layout...theatres at each end, as well as restaurants.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had to move from 11130 to 13656 because of a continuous pounding noise within the walls of our cabin. We loved the layout of both rooms...the size was a great surprise...along with the comfort of our mattress, and the views from both balconies.

Ship tip

Our entire voyage was stress free...a true vacation from the reality of life!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
We had a whole day to enjoy Seattle before boarding the ship. Pike Fish Market was fantastic as well as our ghost tour.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
We went on a whale watching excursion and visited the Red Dog Saloon while we were ported. The excursion was enjoyable (saw the backs and tails of quite a few whales), whereas the in town visit was just too much of the same stores over and over again.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Skagway is a quaint little town with so much history! We rented a jeep and drove up into Canada. The sights we saw along the way were so beautiful! Once we returned, we shopped around and enjoyed a drink at the Red Onion Saloon, the old town brothel.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
We were fortunate to get very near the glacier...closest the ship has been this year. What a beautiful sight!

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
We walked the entire day from the ship to Chinatown, enjoying all the beautiful flower gardens along the way! The stores were great to shop in and we enjoyed walking along the wharf. Victoria's history and the old buildings throughout the town were so much more than we anticipated. This ort actually ended up being my husband's favorite. I think it's because he found the perfect beanie cap made originally in Ireland :)

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth sailing all the way. Other than a gentle rocking motion at times, we sailed as if on ice.
