The ship is simply perfect! It's kept very clean and is the perfect size. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough to make sure you don't lift a finger on your vacation.

Serenade of the Seas Cruise by BrianA3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Incredible experience on this our third cruise (1st on RCC). The ship was gorgeous and very stable at sea. The rooms were spacious and had lots of storage, and a large balcony. The variety of bars and nooks and crannies was impressive. The dining room was elegant and very well appointed. The gym was well equipped and the pools were well designed and fun to use.

I've had better by Mlkvl

From the day of embarkation, priority lines for suite guests meant nothing. In fact, it almost felt like we were treated more rudely for being in these lines. The food and service in the main dining room were so poor that we ate in the buffet dining after the first night. Excursions were of mediocre quality, as were most of the nightly entertainments. Ports of call that were exceptional are: St. Maartin, Barbados, and Antigua. Both St. Lucia and St. Croix were disappointing. Our spa experience and our room steward were the high points of the cruise line.

Great family vacation by AmyH3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The ship was a perfect size. It was small enough to get personal service but large enough to have plenty of activities for the kids. It would have been nice to have more activities for the teens. Mine would not get involved because were required to sit and talk instead of participate in activities. More dodgeball, ping pong or video events would have been great for them. They wanted to do stuff, but had to settle for playing with each other instead of meeting new people. The pools were totally awesome, perfect temperature and beautiful. I loved the separate area for the adults. The bar service was always there when your glass was empty. (Just wish was a little less expensive and could have spent more)! I definitely recommend the beverage package for the kids. That was well worth it and no need to sign everytime they wanted a soda! Wish they had an unlimited beverage for beer, wine or cocktails! The captain was very competent also. We had to change our itinerary due to a tropical storm, but ship remained calm and steady. We still visited all our ports. Due to the schedule change, I was worried out excursion (booked through a travel agent ahead of time) would be uninformed, so the customer service desk allowed me to make a complimentary call from the ship to the excursion. That was very much appreciated and relieved stress from my worries!

Good but not the best by Mo1

The ship Serenade of the Seas is beautiful and was kept very clean. The staff and service was excellent. The food left a lot to be desired, especially in the Wind jammer Cafe (where meals are served buffet style). The ship had a lack of fun activities while cruising. We like to stay busy and entertained and there were not that many activities on board. The shops on the ship had limited products and the deals were not good at all. Some of the jewelry and watches on board looked like it came from the dollar store. Bottom line, we had a good time, but we have cruised with another cruise line that was more fun and a much better value for our money. The next time we will cruise with the " Fun Ships" again!

A fantastic cruise by DebraG1

This was our 8th cruise and the 3rd with RC. As on our past RC cruises, my husband and I were treated like royalty. We went for a fun and relaxing time and were not disappointed. Although there were plenty of children on board, their activities and gathering places were planned and situated in such a way that they were not a nuisance as we've experienced on another cruise line.

So-So Cruise by JeannineB

Ship's layout was very confusing. Dance floor in the centrum was very small. We had paid for a superior balcony (extended) and were not happy with the lack of extra space.

The ship was very nice. All of the general areas were very clean, fresh and new looking. The staff at every level was outstanding. Awesome customer service. The ports of call were great. Loved being back on a Royal Carribbean ship.

Loved This Cruise! by SusanneD1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Came on this cruise with hesitation from other reviews. Was quite surprised with food. Tasted great, good selection to chose from. Chops is the best but now $30 per person. The comedian on night 4 was hiliarious! Even though it's a small ship couldn't tell there were over 2000 people on board. Aruba and Curacao are very windy ports so any water excursions should be on the calm side of the islands. We had 6-8 foot swells which we were told are normal. St. Kitts very hot but must try the zip line - what fun! Also, Batik factory is expensive but quality is good. Shopping in Aruba is priced like U.S. but tax is only 1.5%. Curacao is still in dutch guilders but they will convert to U.S. currency. Lots of purchasing in Curacao. There is not an art auction on this ship but Bingo is played a couple of days during the week.

a fantastic vacation by Todd1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

In general the ship was well maintained and in good service. There seemed to be more difficulty in seating in the large buffet dining area. the area seemed to be overcrowded for the number of passengers. Food and entertainment were very good. The stateroom bathroom was a little cramped compared to other ships on Princess Crusie Lines that I have sailed. There were a couple of cabin maintenance issues that took longer to resolve than I though they should have
