Try and not use the midship elevators whenever possible as there is no alternative stair case there, instead favor either the fore or aft staircase and elevators.
Use the stairs whenever possible as elevators are small and scarce for a ship of this size.
We liked our room location, near the back at the top of ship as the buffet dining rooms were one floor above, and gym one above that. Also we were near elevators to get to lower levels. No complains what so ever...
Be prepared to do alot of walking. The ship is huge but never seemed crowded.
We recommend the dining room experience for breakfast and high tea. You are served like royalty.
This was my first cruise on a ship this large. I'm not sure if I want to cruise again on a big ship because of the difficulty getting a dinner reservation prior to 7:30pm
On this ship if you are aft you need to take elevators to Deck 7, walk to front or midship then go back down again! Annoying. Great organization on getting on/off ship at ports.
Pick a couple of tours you really want to do, otherwise strike out on your own and go with the local tours. They can be much more informative and much more economical, especially if you share the cost with another couple. Your driver has everything to do with how well it goes so pick one wisely.
Casual environment.Plenty of pool sitting area.
The elevators take forever as there are only stairs in the front and back of the ship. The midship elevators were a mess the whole trip so try to use the other elevators as much as possible, and use the stairs if you can. It will save you a lot of waiting time.
If you choose any time dining, be sure to READ your welcome packet about the times available for dinner. One dining room does not let you in until 7:30 and there were long lines waiting to be seated. The other dining room opens at 5:30 and is more organized.
Be prepared for a very long wait to catch a tender back to the ship in Princess Cays. They really should have a couple more tender boats docked at Princess Cays to help out the tenders from the ship. People waited in line well over an hour to het back to the ship. This is ridiculous.
It is worth paying for Express checkout to have your suitcases sent directly to your final destination airport and to get your airline boarding passes printed for your trip home. It made it so much easier on disembarkation day.
Cash exchange machines were not efficient and high interest charges were applied if small denomination bills were used. Machines would only accept one bill at a time, although instructions implied you could feed more before the transaction began.
Our balcony room was near the forward elevators, so was very convenient to get to different levels. Also, we used laundry service and they did an excellent job in a timely manner.
The mid-part of the ship does not offer stairs, so if you like to take the stairs, go to the front or back of the ship.
For example: We recommend the dining room experience for breakfast and high tea. You are served like royalty.
There is a better chance to use the outside jacuzzi's during night, after 10pm and it is great because you can be watching the movie under the stars that they play at 10;30pm.
Elevator wait time can be slow at mid ship. Go to the theater early to avoid people walking over you.
Loved the specialty restaurants - tried both Sabatini's and the Crab Shack. Loved them both. Definitely recommend renting a cabana around adult pool. Totally relaxing and luxurious.
