Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We loved the cruise.  The Royal Princess is a beautiful ship.  Elegantly decorated.  The service was amazing as usual and the food was excellent.  We got our usual aft facing balcony which was nice and large but you got more soot than normal on this ship than others for some reason. The showers were a few inches larger which made a huge difference but the bathroom it self seemed a little smaller which was ok.  Room was comfy with a small couch and coffee table. Large closet with lots of hangers.   Large screen flat tv on the wall and there was an amazing amount of tv shows, movies and news to keep you happy.  Alot more than other ships.

Only a couple of disappointments:  no stairs in the middle of the ship and no walking area on deck 7.

Ship Quality
Ship was beautiful and spotless
Food and Dining
food was excellent. We eat in the dining room when ever possible
Service and Staff
the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly
the few shows we saw were excellent but we have seen them a few times before on other ships
Children's Programs didn't use
Onboard Activities didn't use
Destinations and Excursions excursions we took were excellent. We did just a city tour on two islands and they were just what we were looking for. An overview of the island.
Cabin / Stateroom
make sure you sit on a towel as the soot is everywhere. Balcony is larger than most which is a plus. Worth the price.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
we aren't beach people so we didn't go to the island
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
always a pretty island
first time there. We took a city tour from the ship which was great even in the pouring rain
St. George's, Grenada
our first time there. Again we took a city tour from the ship and it was super even in the pouring rain
Bonaire, Netherlands Special Municipality
Tours were all booked that we wanted so we took one off the pier which was one of the best tours we have ever done. Tour guide was so hyper about the island which made it tons of fun.
Oranjestad, Aruba
We just walked around here as we had been here a few times. Very hot so we didn't go too far. A beautiful island.

Be prepared to do alot of walking. The ship is huge but never seemed crowded.
