Review summary

My husband and I have just returned from a Caribbean cruise on the Royal Princess. From the moment that  she filled the air with the Love Boat song as we left port to the moment we arrived back in Fort Lauderdale we had so much fun. The ship was beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. We had a lovely mini suite and a glass of champagne to welcome us from our cabin stewardess. We would definitely cruise with Princess again as we loved the food, the ship and the wide variety of entertainment onboard. It is the first time that we have cruised with Princess and the negative comments that we have seen on various forums did worry us. One particular issue was in relation to the lifts and the lack of stairs in the middle of the ship. Yes they do get busy sometimes but this only occurred as far as we experienced when passengers were returning or leaving the ship. At these times we went to the front or aft lifts and the problem was reduced.

A tip for future passengers would be to walk a bit further to either end and you will always find a lift available.

Try the movies under the stars it's a great way to watch and if it gets chilly cover up with one of their blankets.

Take a trip to Huntes Gardens it's absolutely beautiful and only 30 minutes from the cruise port. Entry price is $15.00. My husband and I took a cab which was $80.00 and the driver waited 2 1/2 hours for us.

Only down side to this island is the number of jewellery stores in the Main Street and they all heckle you to visit their store for you "free" gift.
