Don't waste your money on the drink package. It was almost $400 and only included beer and house wine at lunch and dinner. If you want other drinks or wine at any other time of the day, you would have had to pay an additional $200, bringing the drink package cost to $600 for a 9 day trip. The underhanded part of this was that they didn't tell you in advance that the $400 drink package only included bar wine and beer with meals.

read the fine print - free wifi means 1 login per stateroom for basic wifi. for emails and texting only and most emails would not load if there was any graphics included, streaming is extra, another login is extremely expensive - very slow, wifi on Oceana is ridiculous, will never sail with. Oceana again until they fix their Wifi speed and stop charging the outrageous fees for use. free my ass!!! also - they automatically charge your account for gratuities

Always take the cooking classes! They are excellent and well thought out. Several of the shore excursions were VERY disappointing. When we formally complained, we did not receive a response, other than "sorry." Supposedly, the complaint was forwarded to management, but we've been back 4 days and still haven't heard anything (we submitted our complaint a few days before the end of the cruise)..

Find out how many ports require you to tender. The North Atlantic can be rough. We tendered into quite a few of the ports. One of the days, the sea was so rough, that the ride was definitely a white knuckle trip!

Know what to expect - it’s predominantly older seniors. Avoid cabins with small showers because they have a tub.

don't, we got more information about ports from other ships that were in port at the same time than we got from the Riviera staff.

Make sure you're on the side where you will see the most when coming into port, and don't stay up too late as you will wear yourself out.

DO NOT BOOK THEM or Norwegian, they are the same. Bait and switch itineraries and the captain will throw you off the ship if you complain.
