Review summary

the wifi sucks, food not exceptional - Oceana as a culinary experience is a bit of an overstatement - staff indifferent, not proactive - it seemed that the staff were focused on costs reduction and limiting food and drink service, is Oceana in a financial crisis? - you had to basically flag down sommelier in the grand dining room to get a drink, also at the pool and in the martini bar had to flag down the servers to get service - lots a training needed for the staff - some staff were wonderful, but most were more interested in standing around and talking. to each other, rather than providing service to passengers.

grand dining room - like having dinner in a hotel ballroom at a convention - slow service, not a whole lot of variety in food choices buffet - good, limited choices and small serving sizes speciality restaurants - Polo Grill - not top quality steaks - tough chew, Jaques - not really special for French food, Toscana - ok - limited selections, Red Ginger - definitely the best restaurant on the ship. - need. to expand their sushi and sashimi selections.

nice comfortable small cabin - bathroom was great - walk in shower was nice

read the fine print - free wifi means 1 login per stateroom for basic wifi. for emails and texting only and most emails would not load if there was any graphics included, streaming is extra, another login is extremely expensive - very slow, wifi on Oceana is ridiculous, will never sail with. Oceana again until they fix their Wifi speed and stop charging the outrageous fees for use. free my ass!!! also - they automatically charge your account for gratuities
