The ship is beautiful and very very well maintained. The food and the restaurant staff are all incredible. However, because of the numerous customer service issues we encountered, I would not sail on the Rivera again. I prefer the Marina - the customer service on that ship to be far superior.

Dont plan on enjoying breakfast room service if you would like more than basic options of eggs and toast.

I don't know if it is just this particular sailing, but this ship is not for the under 55 crowd. I knew from the passenger profile, that it wasn't for the young, but was surprised to see how elderly most people were. No interesting on-board activities or entertainment.

Book early for the restaurants.

Bring your own snacks for the room if you like nuts, popcorn, pretzels, crackers, etc. Be prepared for a very slow Internet connection, when it's available, which is not all time.

Eat at Le Reserve.

Everything was great except for the wi-fi and no USB ports, be ready for being disconnected if you use your phone or laptop a lot a lot.

Book the wine pairing dinners in advance. They are well worth the money. Also the cooking classes are very popular and very professionally taught.

A very old crowd.....

This was the smallest cruise ship that we have traveled on. We thought the ship was subject to motion more than what we have experienced on other cruises. The Captain mentioned a couple times that the forward speed was being controlled in an attempt to lessen the motion. One evening it was particularly noticeable as we passed through a rain shower and we heard from other guests that items actually were falling off shelves. The ship made available a motion-sickness medication from Guest Relations which we did obtain and use.

Suite passengers have access to secluded deck through the spa. Not well advertised.

If you like wine, bring the 3 bottles per cabin that are allowed to come on board in your carry on.

NOT ENOUGH PERKS FOR THE PRICE THAT YOU PAY FOR THE PH1 SUITE.

Be ready for the roll of toilet paper to fall off of the horizontal post and roll around on the bathroom floor.

I never believed a buffet dinner could be fantastic. They placed food on your plate. Carried to your table and the choices were fabulous

Be sure to reserve in advance each of the specialty dining facilities. There were all wonderful. We also recommend the purchased La Reserve dinner.
