Review summary

The ship is beautiful and very very well maintained. The food and the restaurant staff are all incredible. Overall we had a very nice vacation.

However, because of the numerous customer service issues we encountered, I would not sail on the Rivera again. I don't need to be dealing with incompetence on my vacation - a theme which was consistent between many of the guests we met during the cruise. I feel the customer service management on this ship needs to improve significantly. A few tips from Marina would help!

I don't know how they do it, but the food is spectacular. The restaurant staff are all out of this world. I feel the food service should be supplemented with a 24hour cafe of some sort. We found this to be a big miss.

Entertainment

Everything is geared for older people. My group was middle aged and we had a hard time in the evening. I think this really needs to be changed. Also, the entertainment on our previous cruise on the Marina was far better - more lively and much more engaging. We also attended a few of the evening shows and they were very well done.

My comments all relate to the reception/concierge staff. To say that I'm disappointing is a huge understatement. Majority of them were condescending, spoke with confidence about things they had no knowledge off and provided inaccurate information. I plan on filing a detailed complaint with Oceania directly.

First and last time without a window. Room was very nice - since we choose to try an inside statement, I can't blame anyone but myself:)
