Review summary

Everything was made very simple by the cruise line and our travel agent. A wonderful and unforgettable experience! We were often frustrated by the Internet connection, occasionally desired some between meal snacks, and did not pay close enough attention to when the ship's boutiques were operational so we missed out on purchasing some clothing items that we wanted. They are closed while the ship is in port. Otherwise, everything about the cruise creates a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The room refrigerator was always well-stocked and there was always plenty of drinking water. Comfort and cleanliness are a priority for me and my expectations were exceeded.

Embarkation

Very easy process and a warm welcome from staff.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Absolutely fabulous dining experiences but the beer list was lacking. Also, baked goods are the extent of snack foods with the exception of Happy Hour so bring your own crackers or other munchies.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We only used the pool and walking track, which were very pleasant and well-maintained.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We only went to the magic show which was very good but dragged at times so it could use some polishing but the magician is very talented.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very efficient, courteous, and warm. Our steward knew our names when we encountered him in the halls.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very easy to navigate! Convenient bathrooms. Extremely clean with hand sanitizing stations available all over the ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable! Much more spacious than I imagined and we loved our balcony.

Ship tip

Bring your own snacks for the room if you like nuts, popcorn, pretzels, crackers, etc. Be prepared for a very slow Internet connection, when it's available, which is not all time.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

The water was too rough for the tender so we were not able to visit the port as planned.

Sorrento, Italy

Kotor, Montenegro

The most charming old town of all of the ports we visited.

Zadar, Croatia

2 out of 5
There was not as much to do and see, although the museum was excellent and definitely worth the entry fee. We did not book an excursion and did not know how to find a bus for trip to the beautiful parts of Croatia. If we had been closer to their national parks, we would have tried harder to find a bus or take a taxi.

Koper, Slovenia

The old town was very nice to visit and our excursion was fabulous! We visited Predjama Castle and Postojna Cave. The castle was very interesting and the cave was unbelievable! We would have loved to visit the capital of Ljubljana but there was not enough time. A beautiful country!

Venice, Italy

Lots to do: St. Mark's square, shopping, exploring different islands, and Gondola rides. We would have been smart to get a water taxi route in order to have planned our time better but overall it is doable on your own if you allow lots of time getting to and from different islands.
