Review summary

The Atlantic crossing was an amazing way to relax and decompress. We used the sea days to catch up on our sleep, but we were never board. The cooking lessons and cooking demonstrations are particularly excellent on this size ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
fast and easy embarkation process

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Specialty restaurants were amazing, dining room was excellent

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did nothing and were expected to do nothing. There are no activities for children or young adults, but there is wonderful classical music, elegant tea service and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sea, sunshine and companionship with others.

Entertainment

We did not take advantage of the entertainment as we occupied ourselves with the amazing dining options each evening.

Children's Programs

There are no children and hence no children's activities. If you have young children, this is not the cruise line for you.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff are friendly, plentiful and well-trained. I felt as if I merely had to think of something I needed and it appeared before me.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was easy to find our way around -- not too big at all, and there was never an instant were there was dirt or dust that was not immediately attended to.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We could not even use all the space that was provided let along the large bath tub. The balcony was spacious and comfortable for sunset/sunrise viewing.

Ship tip

Book the wine pairing dinners in advance. They are well worth the money. Also the cooking classes are very popular and very professionally taught.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

we flew in and went directly to the cruise ship in plenty of time for departure.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
ferry service to Hamilton from the Royal Dockyard made walking around the town easy and inexpensive.

Funchal, Madeira

5 out of 5
We hired a private guide and visited an so many beautiful sections of the island -- more than the cruise buses could cover in a single day

Tangier, Morocco

5 out of 5
Our private guide and driver allowed us to visit the entire city, both old and new.

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
We stayed several extra days and wished we could have stayed longer. The markets and weather were perfect for shopping, cooking and sightseeing.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
quick, efficient and easy with taxis readily available
