Ship small old boring islands stunning by mshomali10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Overall ship is boring and not much to do the ports were amazing even though we docked at not nice ports. Of course the locals hound you to sell activities or things. We loved it for the islands and beaches not the ship at all. The food below mediocre at best. A lot of food repetitive every day for almost every meal. I’ve had dinner food better. Care w RC excursions they don’t give you details they’re very expensive and lied about the time. Said the st Lucia boat ride w beach is 4.5 hours it’s was actually 2 hours and only 30 min swim with the whole boat full took more than 5 min just to get off.

Some good, some not so! by tasmussen1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Spent a few days in San Juan prior to cruise. Ship left and came back on time. Ports of call were good in their own way. Lots of kids on the ship. But had to laugh a some of the outfits some of the women wore. Short shorts on some that shouldn't be wearing. Not a good look.

Caribbean cruise mid September by pwaterbury

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Rhapsody is a small, older boat. It needs some cabin renovations. The public areas are nice and clean. The ports of call were average, however, we went mid September and it was still so hot and humid we didn’t do any excursions at any of the islands. I would like to redo this cruise if it was a different ship and a cooler time of year.

Exceptional service from your crew members by ptorresr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Overall it was an excellent experience to get away from the every day routine but would have liked a more affordable Internet service for those with a tight budget.

This is a 7 Night cruise to the best islands in the Caribbean - A, B, C plus St. Croix. by awe4gt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

We flew from ATL to SJU and sailed on Rhapsody of the Seas, on August 4, 2024. We selected this cruise because it included two destinations we've not visited before - Bonaire and Curacao. Rhapsody is a bit older but elegant and graceful at sea. We loved Rhapsody for her crew, her size, and her itinerary. Rhapsody's deck plan is smart and getting around is easy. Beautiful bars and lounges and the food is terrific. Sailing out of San Juan is so much nicer and easier than any of the US ports we've sailed from. We are already planning our next trip, but this cruise was one of the best Caribbean cruises we've ever taken.

Good by ZMR

Cruise was good, although smaller than expected, in comparison with my prior experience. Also I felt the cruise moving every day. I took medicine for the dizziness every day.

Royal Caribbean gets a "C" for this cruise by dan410

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

As previously stated I would give RCCL a C overall. With that said, being a Diamond Plus member, I have two more cruises booked on Royal which I can't get out of. I'm hoping this cruise was the exception since I can only tare it as average. From the customer service to exceptionally poor internet it was disappointing. Absolutely have to do more comparisons with Celebrity and Princess.

Lovely Couple's Cruise by PreciosaPetunia

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Overall a good cruise. Being with friends made it lovely. Food was good, service was actually the best part about the cruise. The shows were good. Overall the ports were nice as well. Some better than others. In the end, we loved: the service, food, shows, St. Lucia and St. Martin. We didn't love: the stateroom balcony not being completely private, some of the onboard activities being different than what they were supposed to be or thrown together, being stung by sea lice in Barbados with no warning from staff.

Nice relaxing trip by hipdco

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Although I had to travel alone, because my cousin (Wilfredo P. who invited me and paid the refund) had to leave the ship due to a stomach illness from the previous trip 12-19 in the same ship, I was treated very well by the ship's employees and I did not feel alone. I appreciate the treatment.

Amazing hospitality by shemp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

The service was truly amazing, 5star+. Not a ton of activities due to it being a smaller ship and although we got the best sweet we could get it was a bit dated and the bed was hard and the pillows were really flat. It’s not what we were expecting in the best room on the ship but the staff made up for it because they were so hospitable

Good family trip by my2lad

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

My group of 20 family members had fun of this 7 day cruise on board Rhapsody of the seas. The service staff did a great job accommodating us in the main dinning and other areas. The ship although 27 years old it's still pretty and has it's luxury look in some areas. Food and entertainment was good but yes I guess it's fair to say that it could've been better. Rooms and facilities were cleaned daily. Overall a great experience for the family.

Great experiences with Royal Caribbean, but the food could have been better by aleksle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

There were plenty of great experiences with Royal Caribbean, but the food could have been better. For instance, the food variety at Windjammer was lacking, with only two types of cheese available for the entire cruise. Additionally, the special restaurant menus remained unchanged throughout the voyage, making it sufficient to dine at each only once or twice. The fixed menu included multiple full portion entries, which seemed unnecessary and turned it into more of a double dinner menu rather than a prefixed one. I was hoping to learn about the captain and senior officers, but unfortunately, it didn't happen. The captain didn't even appear during the crew flag parade, which I found disrespectful to his own country and all passengers. The ship areas aren't very spacious, so the music, especially around the pool, could be too loud at times, which was disturbing for those trying to relax on their balconies.

Lots of fun. Lots of Latin Dancing. by tomthepipersson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

We liked and enjoyed everthing except the food in main dinning room, Windjammer, and the Solarium. The pizza was horrible! The Cuban sandwich was awful. The salad was ok in the Solarium.

Pretty Good Cruise by chefkozman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Overall, we had a fun cruise. One major note that greatly upset us was that we booked this as a "bucket list" 7-Day Panama Canal cruise going to Costa Rica then crossing the Panama Canal. Two weeks after we booked this, they changed the cruise and dropped the Panama Canal and Costa Rica. That was the only reason we booked this cruise. We were furious. We have been loyal Royal Caribbean fans, but because of this, we are going to look at another cruise line in the future.
