A LOVELY SHIP by Michael35630392

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Victoria / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

WE SAILED HER IN THE MED THIS PAST NOVEMBER. WE HAVE CRUISED OVER 20 TIMES AND FOUND THIS SHIP TO BE AS NICE AN EXPERIENCE AS ANY PREVIOUS. ONE MAY ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT, HOWEVER THE GOOD OVERWELMED ANY OF THE MINOR FLAWS, AND WE MEAN MINOR. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SAILING HER AGAIN IN 2010. AS GENERAL MACARTHUR ONCE SAID, "WE'LL BE BACK"

quiet and relaxing cruise by SandrainAmerika

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Queen Victoria

First time Cunard cruisers, we like it quiet and we do not like to be approached about ordering drinks all the time, so this cruise was perfect for us. Food was excellent we had real china no plastic plates (besides by the pool deck) Good variety of food in the dining room and Lido deck (loved all the sushi options, fresh fish, smoked salmon, lots of good bread options and great cheese. People got dressed for breakfast (enjoyed that we did not see any Pjs running around on). The cruise is not for everyone, not many young kids or young folks but very quiet and relaxing.

Perfect Cruising Experience. by Hammy29

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Victoria

A wonderful experience on a beautiful ship. So relaxing as there was always somewhere quiet that you could sit. No hoards of screaming kids! Quality service that added to the experience.

A little disappointing .... by TravelUmbrella

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Victoria

The ship itself is stunning but we were disappointed in the quality of the food and the dining experience in the MDR. Bar service tended to be slow. Found the entertainment to be a bit sedate, dated and uninspiring.

Had a lovely time with our 2 sons, something we haven't done in ages. Just a shame that we experienced cutbacks with the staff

Loved the Queen Victoria, loved the Crew, and loved the Itinerary. After years cruising other lines, we have now found our new cruise home!

There is good news and bad news. The good news is that the ship and crew are wonderful. The bad news is that Delta airlines "misplaced" our luggage. by grayghost

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Victoria

Cruise was ruined by Delta airlines losing our luggage (not delivered to the ship for 5 days but promised to get it there in 2) Not Cunard's fault. Every one of the ship's crew was wonderful in their concern for us.

Everyone should experience Cunard once by MelAndChris

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Victoria

We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. This was our first cruise on Cunard but it it won’t be our last. Don’t let the nightly dress code discourage you from trying Cunard.

Amsterdam Cruise by Paulieh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Victoria

We have done a dozen previous cruises all on Royal Caribbean so decided to take the plunge with Cunard. We are really glad we did as the ship was very attractive and the quieter ambiance was also to our liking. We will definitely use Cunard again

What a let down! by Gillieb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Queen Victoria / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

The first port of call in Maderia, my cousin flew back to the UK and left me solo for 9 days. Interestingly, she was not the only one as the Cunard Pursuers informed her that another couple had flown home because the entertainment had been so bad!! I stuck the cruise out as it had been my ‘dream’ to go with Cunard. It’s not put me off cruising, but it won’t be with them.

Great way to see the British Isles by spencerboyce

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Queen Victoria / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Very much enjoyed the cruise. Be forewarned....on this cruise the average age appeared to be 70+. My wife and I are in our early 50's and (I believe!) were some of the youngest on board. If you are looking to "party" all night, probably not your ship.

Elegant Norwegian Cruise by warrena0

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Queen Victoria / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

An elegant cruise to a stunning destination that is a must see. The ship provides top service, catering and shows for a more discerning crowd. The ship itself was not crowded even though full, and is furnished with elegant high quality finishes. Strongly recommend Cunard.
