A mix of glorious views and sunshine; damped opinions of soggy ports

Relaxing cruise, saw whales and dolphins. Port visits varied and interesting - not a cruise for the under 40s as majority of passengers 65 or above.

The Queen Elizabeth was an impressive ship but showing her age. Definitely needs a refit and upgrade to cabins. Our cabin was a suite (P1) which we were pleased with. Compares to a junior suite with Princess. The Princes grill restaurant was very good and the sommelier excellent. We liked the private decks - no competition to get a deck chair, nice lounge bar. Our cruise was let down by the cabin cleanliness issue and the fact we received towels with someone else's blood on them. This situation has been poorly handled by Cunard.

In many ways it was the best cruise we’ve been on : the length was great, food was great, service. Only negative was getting on.

Would recommend the ship and the itinerary to anyone wanting to enjoy a Cunard cruise.

This was a terrific cruise from beginning to end. No disappointments! The Queen Elizabeth is an amazing ship with an amazingly dedicated crew who treat all the passengers as if they were royalty! It was very difficult leaving the ship and returning to reality!

I loved being back on board. I had the relaxing and pampered time I was expecting. I had no bad experiences.

Beautiful cruise ship with just the right amount of amenities. Staff were pleasant, though seemed to be short staffed. The mountains of Alaska stole the show - amazing to see almost every day! Ports of call were great! I also loved the ship’s naturalist and didn’t miss a single lecture and tried to speak with her every day - highly knowledgeable.

Have sailed to Alaska many times Enjoy not having to fly. We took no excursions but still enjoyed the ports. First time on Cunard and really enjoyed the ship and crew.

Overall this is an excellent ship with a focus on quality. This is very evident from all members of the staff who went out of there way to make sure everything was as perfect as possible. Would recommend Cunard to anyone considering a cruise. Having also sailed on QM2 I would rate her above Quern Elizabeth overall.

Went on a short trip on the QE from Melbourne to Sydney. The ship itself is magnificent as expected from Cunard. Unfortunately the service was very ordinary. As other reviewers have mentioned, the staff do not appear to enjoy their work and it shows. Unlike other cruises where the staff share a bit of friendly banter, there is no connection with guests on the QE. On our first visit to the Golden Lion the waiter took our drinks order, only to return ten minutes later with all drinks except one, a beer which was on the menu but unavailable. No apology, just a shrug of the shoulders and my friend had to wait for another ten minutes before receiving his second choice of drink. This occurred on many occasions, with beer and wine shortages at various bars around the ship over the course of the trip. Unacceptable from a cruise liner who rates itself so highly.

The Queen Elizabeth is a magnificent ship,everything we expected and more,our room was superb,the bed was the most comfortable one we have slept in,lots of wardrobe space,and was kept immaculate.The entertainment was varied, we had a lady on the harp,3 girls playing violins and chelo, the band,which played everything from the 50,through to the 90,s,were great,I even danced lol. Food wise we enjoyed the Lido Buffet, although there was less variety than other cruises we have been on,what was offered was excellent, the Britannia Restaurant,after a poor first night service wise,redeemed itself and from then on was excellent both food and service wise.The shows in the theatre were of a high standard though some were not to our liking. A special mention to the entertainment crew especially Laura & Ellio they were brilliant.We would certainly cruise on this magnificent ship again,it's a different world on her.

The queen Elizabeth is beautiful in every corner she has style and class in every aspect of design the crew were amazing and room was very comfortable

We enjoyed every minute of this cruise, we particularly chose this itinerary because it included visiting Fiordland and Cities that we were interested in visiting for the 1st time or ones we wanted to return to

While the ship itself was absolutely incredible, the same cannot be said about the staff, food, entertainment or onboard activities. It was very disappointing.

We thought the food, staff and while ship was an I credible experience and would certainly go again. We had quite awful weather but we were kept up to date with what was happening by the captain.

We enjoyed the cruise even though we had bad weather and rough seas most of the time. The drinks are too expensive. Anytime dining would be an added bonus. It is a beautiful ship.

A great ship and crew. Entertainment could be better. Onboard lectures excellent.

Lovely itinerary with the benefit of Mediterranean sunshine too. We sailed through the Messina straits which separate Italy and Sicily during the day and had wonderful views.

Did enjoy but the ship needed a big overhaul in my cabin stained carpets and seats windows dirty you could hardly see out of windows
