Review summary

The Queen Elizabeth was an impressive ship but showing her age. Definitely needs a refit and upgrade to cabins. Our cabin was a suite (P1) which we were pleased with. Compares to a junior suite with Princess. The Princes grill restaurant was very good and the sommelier excellent. We liked the private decks - no competition to get a deck chair, nice lounge bar. Our cruise was let down by the cabin cleanliness issue and the fact we received towels with someone else's blood on them. This situation has been poorly handled by Cunard.

Mixed bag here, Cabin cleanliness was very poor, Restaurant service was very good.

Princess grill had private decks , 11 and 12 which was nice. Common areas were dated and showing their age.

Biggest problem on the cruise. The cabin was grimy, mold and cracked tiles in the shower. Sadly we received folded 'clean' towels with blood on them which were unwittingly used for showering. Cunard took the towels and promised a report on this issue when docked. No report forthcoming and our phone has been blocked!
