Stockholm, Sweden overview

Distributed across fourteen immaculate islands in a sheltered Baltic bay, crisscrossed by scenic bridges, Sweden's capital is one of the most beautiful cities on earth. It is a sightseeing smorgasbord, including the medieval "city between the bridges," the vast Royal Palace, and the City Hall, which hosts the yearly Nobel Prize ceremonies.

The approach into Stockholm is stunning, make sure you're up on deck! Stockholm is a beautiful city (I could live there!) Beautiful architecture and so clean! Made a visit to the ABBA museum which was cool (we even went into one of the sound booths and recorded our own ( rather special...) Version of Dancing Queen. If you're brave enough you have the opportunity to join ABBA on stage for a song! ABBA dabba doo! Missed so much of Stockholm that we are planning a return visit.

Did this on our own with a Stockholm Pass.... the HOHO ferry is the best way to go..... saw the Palace and don't miss the Changing of the Guard here - it lasted 35 minutes and was awesome! Walked through Gamla Stan, but the BEST visit was to the VASA Museum.... NOT TO BE MISSED!! It is awesome!

Hop On, Hop Off Bus tour. WE also walked around a bit & had lunch at Kunggallen. THe food was very good & the waitress refused a tip in Euros or dollars. She stated unlike the United States they are well paid & thanked us for the offer.WE also walked through a food mall that was just amazing. We were in Stockholm for two days & on the second day we took a canal tour, walked around a park & went to the ABBA museum.

Always one of my favourite ports, Gamla Stan is a must and perfect size for a one day cruise visit. Vasa museum is exceptional too. I could live here. I always use that as a marker.
