A great cruise to relax or partake in all of the many onboard activities. The sights were exceptional and the ports of call were very enjoyable

The cruise while anticipated to be great did not Allow for time off the ship in certain ports. This actually did not allow for excursions Suggested.

Alaska was amazing. The ship was luxurious and very well cared for. This is not the cruise if you want a big, singles, drunken party. This is an older, more subdued atmosphere with lots of little spots to sit and read. The staff was attentive. The deluxe veranda suite was gorgeous and really large.

My wife and I have never gone on a cruise before - the experience was an absolute joy. Food was excellent and the Le Cirque night at the Pinnacle Grill provided us with the best dining experience of our lives. If going on the Oosterdam we recommend attending the Le Cirque night at Pinnacle, we had lamb and chatteaux briand. On board entertainment was outstanding Julie Barr was an amazing comedienne, the Oosterdam dancers and singers were first rate also. Staterooms were attended to 3-4 times per day, pretty much any time we were gone for the room for more than an hour it was cleaned. The only negative is that it is almost impossible to get past the tourist shops at ports unless you pay large amounts for the excursions, more time in port would have helped. The other commend would be to drop one of the Alaskan ports and had more time scheduled in Victoria.

We have traveled HAL on many cruises, however, never like this one. We had a Balcony Room next to three teenage girls. They continually threw things over the balcony, used obsenity most of the time, and were not supervised by their parents at all. The only time their father was present he was as loud and obnoxius as the teens were. We reverted to banging on the walls to keep them quiet. Not a good experience for a seasoned traveler.

Did a 7-Day cruise on the Oosterdam from Holland America. Great food, Great staff. Alaska was one of the most beutiful things I have ever seen.

We were so excited because this was our first cruise. And I had always heard that the food is so good. I was very disappointed.. The food was very bad!!! Our room was very nice we had a balcony room. Also the excursions were VERY expensive they started @ $300 each. So we were not able to do any.

We arrive on the boat, the service was excellent from the get go. The room was beautiful and the staff very friendly. The food was very good, service in the dining room is impeccable and I realized that most of the food served in the same dining room is also available at the Lido Deck, casual dining. The boat offered many activities but I did not have the chance to enjoy it all. The ports of calls are very beautiful, but I feel that we did not have enough time in Victoria British Colombia. Otherwise I am extremely satisfied with the entire experience and recommend it.

The people were great but the overall condition of the ship needed refurbished and updated. The ship itself was also much smaller than I have ever been on. When you are out to sea it is nice to have more things to see and do.

Overall the ship was a great experience. They had different activites and entertainment options. There wasn't much to complain about and the days flew by!

It was such a wonderful experience to be on the Oosterdam. Crew members we met were friendly and courteous with a smile on the face. They were eager to help and serve us in any way they could.

The ship was very nice. Decorated beautifully, easy to find where we wanted to go on board, etc. It was very clean, and kept that way the whole time. Comfortable, roomy, and quite glamorous.

The Oosterdam was a nice ship, showing it's age, but nice.

Absolutely perfect cruise. The itinerary was fabulous as well as the service and hospitality. Entertainment was nonstop and the entertainment in the piano bar was awesome! The stateroom was clean and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Would do this trip over again in a heartbeat. Great value for your money.

The staff was professional. The rooms and all common areas were clean and in good condition. The embarking and disembarking were efficient.

We went on this same cruise about 5 years ago. Although we had fun, the quality of the food, friendliness of the staff, and cleanliness of the ship has gone down. We did not feel special on this trip, like we did the last time. Everything was nice, but was not special experience for us the second time around.

Wasn't empressed with the food served. Staff were very very attentive. Good overall impression of Ship.

Service was fantastic.

My granddaughter and I cruised on the Oosterdam and had a wonderful time. The cabin was always kept clean and I swear the stewards never slept. They were always working. All of the crew were very helpful and friendly. The ship as a whole was very clean. We enjoyed the Crow's Nest were we enjoyed "Mocas" and a time to read,rest and watch for whales. And of course the food was outstanding.

Overall...good. The service and staff are excellent. The entertainment was weak in a couple of spots but the main shows were professional quality. There are always plus and minus items in the food department, depending somewhat on individual taste. Cruise food in general tends to be on the bland side but there are plenty of choices.
