Review summary

Alaska was amazing. The ship was luxurious and very well cared for. This is not the cruise if you want a big, singles, drunken party. This is an older, more subdued atmosphere with lots of little spots to sit and read. The staff was attentive. The deluxe veranda suite was gorgeous and really large.

Hubs did not like the formal dining room. He prefered the casual lido. I liked it\, though. The thing is\, it's really cold and you're outside all day doing excursions so the last thing I wanted to do was get dressed and dine. So it all worked out. Everyone on the Lido was in sweatshirts and jeans. Very comfortable.
