Review summary

Our Itinerary was changed to to weather concerns. After passing through Gibraltar the captain took us south to the Canary Islands, such an unexpected treat. The Captain kept us informed of weather concerns throughout the voyage and made excellent decisions to keep passengers, crew and ship safe. The Officers, crew and other staff were some of the friendliest we have encountered. They were visible and showed interaction with the passengers that was greatly appreciated. The crew on this ship are definitely family. The cruise and Travel Director, Daniel was the best CD we have ever met.

Embarkation

Cruise terminal in Piraeus was very organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Of the 4 HAL ships we have cruised on in 2023, this ship had the most consistently excellent food in the MDR, Lido and Pinnacle

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were very good EXC talks and lectures, the cooking demonstrations were fabulous and the most fun of any activity offered.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The Piano bar singers, Victoria and David, were not as talented as others we have seen..off key, seemed amateurish. The Rolling Stone Rock Band were very good but the volume of singing was too loud. The absolute BEST music was from Lincoln Center stage musicians, who were fabulous, as was the Jazz band in the Ocean Bar.

Children's Programs

no children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
the Crew and staff on this ship were excellent, always smiling, helpful.our dining room waiters always addressed us by name. They really aimed to please and be helpful

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I am not crazy about the Set up of the Rolling Stone lounge..found the acoustics too loud.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We were in 4160. Excellent cabin but the tub drain was very sluggish.
