We purposely chose the Norwegian Pearl for our second cruise because we liked the Garden Cafe and sitting on the stern watching the whales and the scenery, enjoying interaction with other passengers, and enjoying the delicious food provided for us. The decor is beautiful and the crew are all very friendly and helpful. Our cabin was very neat and clean and we enjoyed the towel animals. The entertainment was top rate and we enjoyed the laughter every day. The scenery was spectacular. The towns we visited were fun to explore and to learn a little history. We enjoyed our second visit to Alaska the second time as much as we did the first. What an awesome place!

It is a beautiful ship with wonderful splashes of color. The Spinaker Lounge has new types of interesting seating like two person lounging couches with sofa pillows, you could lay together facing the same direction or towards each other. They also had big round leather donut hole chairs that were tipped toward the view windows, and a big canopy bed in reds/gold for a bunch of friends to visit on?! The Summer Palace dining room was very pretty and bright. The Indigo was much darker and was more convenient to the casino and shows. It's an easy ship to get around except when folks were trying to find and look at their ship photos as that causes a traffic jam in an ordinarily passageway. We had a great time.

The ship was great! No complaints. Great staff; very helpful. Be sure to bring your passport even if told you don't have to have one -- YOU DO.

Everything is good on this ship except that the food choices are limited in the restaurant without extra charge

The NCL Pearl is a Jewel Class ship in the NCL fleet and well designed for Freestyle cruising. We loved taking this ship from Seattle to Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Glacier Bay, and Victoria, BC. The weather was fantastic and we could not have asked for a better family vacation. The day in Glacier Bay was magical. It is an incredible place and the clear skies, warm weather in the 70's, and natural sights made it a day I will never forget. It was a cruise that just got better and better.

All activitlies were well planned and organized. Cruise director was great and kept everyone informed of activities and events.

Easy to get around on. Clean and comfortable.

A great ship with mostly everything needed for a most relaxing cruise. easy access to the various part of the ship and very important friendly and caring staff which completes the total satisfaction one requires.

The cruise and the ship were very enjoyable.

Extremely clean. The staff was so friendly...always smiling, always offering help. I was very impressed with that. Plenty of activities. And most of all, we never felt pressured to do or not do anything. Magnificent!

I awoke at 0500am to find 1/2 inch of water on the floor of the cabin. I called the front dest to inform them. Approx 30 minutes later they sent someone to check on it and about an hour later sent a clean up crew. I asked to be transfered to another room. I was told that they would put me up in another room for the night that the room would be dry that evening and the I could return to my room. I asked who could transfer me and they told me they would check to see. I asked when would I know since they said no one was on duty that could make that decision. They replyed they didnt know. I asked would it be 6 hours, 8 hours 10 hours and they said they couldnt answer that question. After coming back from a on shore visit aound 5 pm I called and again asked for a transfer to a new room. At that time they repeated that I could stay the night in another room but would have to return to my old room. But that they would give me a free dinner in one of their pay resturants. I did not want to move temporary so we stay in the room with two blowers and one dehumiderfier. So loud we could not talk or even hear the TV or phone. Next morning I went to talk to them eye to eye, and they then gave me a new room and of course a free dinner. Very dissapointed the way they handled the flooding of the room. Also two or three other rooms were also flooded next to ours. Only manitenance crews came to talk to me. Will not be use a NCL again.

The best comment is whether one would repeat the experience.

It had been about 10 years since I went on a cruise and this was a great experience. I went with my grandmother who never had a chance to take their dream trip to Alaska with my grandfather before he passed. The staff was very helpful and friendly with both of us. My grandmother stated she will remember it forever!! The Norwegian Pearl was a wonderful ship and the staff was great. So nice that they always offered to help my grandmother while she went through the buffet. The entertainment was a nice mix and we both enjoyed it. I am already looking at another Norwegian cruise fir next year!!! We will both be talking about this one for a long time though!!

The ship was rather new. It had good amenities and all the public areas were clean and well maintained. I would recommend it to other people as I heard it has the best itinerary for the Alaskan trip. However, it would have not been my first choice if my priority was luxury.

We had a great time!!!!!!!! The freestyle dinner was cool!!! No fixed timetables, no required attire!!! We did whatever we wanted, wherever and whenever!!!! Besides, the service was also great.

We took two first time cruisers with us because we've come to love Norwegian trips. Overall it was a wonderful experience. The staff is so friendly and the food is of high quality though there was less variety on the Alaska cruise then we've seen on the Caribbean ones. The shows were good but not as a varied as on the Caribbean Norwegian cruises we've done. Everything could get a little pricey once you started to add it all up but the best buy we made was the week long pass to the spa facilities.
