Ask for expalainations on how the billing works, mainly on how the onshore billing works. It is confusing.

Buy the unlimited beverage package. The drinks are very expensive and it will quickly pay for itself.

I would stay clear of Norwegian Cruise Lines. I have sailed around 15 times with Carnival, Princess, Holland America, and twice with NCL. Both times on NCL were less than we came to expect from Carnival Princess and Holland America.

Do not sail on this ship no matter what. Spend your money somewhere else. We booked this trip having been advised NCL's food and service was poor. We went anyway because we were enthusiastic about the itinerary. We chose poorly. Save yourself the irritation and disappointment.

I should have asked for a tour of the ship. I love to walk and did not discover the 7th floor until halfway through the cruise. On the 7th floor you can walk around the entire ship. Once I realized this, I met several other people who liked to walk and it was fun. You can walk around to top floor, but you have to go up and down stairs and it is more crowded.

Unless you really plan to use the thermal spa every day I would forego signing up for the unlimited use pass. It was a waste for us on a cruise in which we went ashore for full day excursions at so many ports.

Don't take negative reviews seriously. This was a great ship with friendly staff and very interested in maintaining cleanliness.
