Review summary

For our first Asia experience - this was amazing and we are already looking at ports and places we'd like to come back to. This is a really good Asia taster cruise - wide range of countries.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Not great, the ticket (number system) made us wait for two hours in the terminal. Have not experienced this ever before.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
All of the ship facilities were great, the Pitt-stop Bar was under heavy construction during the first 7 days, so that the only thing.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Everything was great, loved the wine tastings, and martini tastings - those were conducted in an interesting and entertaining manner

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The quality of the shows was poor (with exceptions of Velvet, Cirque Bijou and Frenchie Davies - those were amazing, and without them the rating would have gone to one star)

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff and personnel were amazing, super helpful and great.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ships layout isn't great, as there are rooms that you can only access through a specific hallway, and Tsars Palace as well - not very accessible.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was good size, but the lighting is quite low - hard to put make up on.

Ship tip

Bring a water bottle :)

Ports of call

Hong Kong

5 out of 5
We just arrived and did Hong Kong on our own - loved it. The Peak District was great and Tim Ho Wan's food didn't disappoint.

Ha Long Bay City (Hanoi), Vietnam

5 out of 5
Even though the weather was foggy and it was drizzling - we loved the Junk Cruise, our tour guide was amazing - shout out to Funny Travels for organising it . The pictures looked like something from Pirates of the Caribbean - very mystical and intriguing - would definitely do it again!

Chan May (Hue), Vietnam

4 out of 5
Da Nang was a really nice city with lovely markets, temples and a museum. Only saw the Dragon Bridge from the bus - would have rather not gone to the museum for that long and instead taken a few pics of the Dragon Bridge instead.

Nha Trang, Vietnam

4 out of 5
Loved this small little beach town, it is full of Russian tourists though. We had popped into Sen Spa and had lovely treatments - would definitely recommend. It's not with all the bells and whistles - western style - but the therapists are incredibly skilled and the place is clean and has a lovely serene vibe.

Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam

4 out of 5
Really enjoyed the trip to the Imperial Palace and seeing a lot of communist art and relics, very intriguing. Loved the city and the food over all.

Sihanoukville, Cambodia

3 out of 5
The city was under severe construction at the time of us visiting, so it wasn't the best in terms of things to see, but we were warned by the excursions people numerous times about this, so this wasn't unexpected. Still enjoyed it though.

Laem Chabang (Bangkok), Thailand

4 out of 5
We did the Aayutthaya and the Summer Palace excursion. We really enjoyed it, and the three hour drive to us felt worth it. Would definitely recommend.

Ko Samui, Thailand

4 out of 5
We shared a cab with another couple at the port and went to the beach - lovely relaxing day.

Singapore

5 out of 5
We visited the Marina Bay Sands observation deck, which was impressive. We didn't do any excursions with the ship, as the public transport seems really easy to navigate and works well. We went into the Gardens by the Bay as well, and did the Flower Dome and the Japanese Gardens under the Dome - breathtaking!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We were in transit, so did not disembark here.
