Review summary

We've done a back-to-back cruises 13 day Hong Kong-Singapore and this one, the vibe on the ship and the atmosphere was so much better on the the latter cruise for some reason. We finally enjoyed the night time entertainment and felt that it wasn't as dead and boring as before. So would definitely recommend.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Great Port Terminal, easy embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All the restaurants were great, and everything worked well.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Didn't do much of the activities as we were in port every day, so only enjoyed ladies pamper party on the sea day before we disembarked.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment seemed to be much better, and better organised then the previous 13 day cruise we did just before.

Children's Programs

No kids were travelling with us

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Everyone was great, but some attention to detail would have been great (one of the wine tastings) the doors were locked even though us and another couple were waiting there for a while. No one checked if we were here for the wine tasting. Also - on our last night in Moderno - I believe the person who normally walks around and makes sure all tables have everything - he asked to to touch my friend's hair - which I think in this day and age is unacceptable.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship is not well designed and confusing to navigate, as some areas you can only access through one elevator.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Loved our cabin, as it was in the nook, were there is barely any traffic - quite and peaceful.

Ship tip

Bring a water bottle - it's useful.

Ports of call

Singapore

5 out of 5
Loved it. We enjoyed the Light show in the Gardens by the Bay and in the Marina - it is well worth.

Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia

5 out of 5
Loved the Batu Caves and the city overview, our second day we mainly did some shopping and tasted local food.

Langkawi (Pulau Langkawi), Malaysia

4 out of 5
It was raining most of the day, but we still enjoyed the island. Yellow Cafe by the Beach is amazing for free wifi and the food is great!

Penang (Pulau Pinang), Malaysia

4 out of 5
The Penang Hill is a must see, and we really enjoyed the views.

Phuket, Thailand

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the trip to Nga Bay and saw the James Bond Island - amazing views and really worth the trip. The town itself is super touristy - full of bars and restaurants that cater to the Brits and Aussies - looked a bit trashy to us, would prefer a more authentic experience.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Really smooth and easy.
