Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia overview

Port Kelang (Klang) serves as a port for Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia's capital rises like a vision from the deep jungles. The ride to town was terribly long at over an hour at high speeds. We used a taxi and shared with our friends and the taxi was willing to stay for us and brought us back. But there were a few times we were praying because this particular taxi driver was not the most alert and his car was not very safe.

The port is very far from KL, we took a taxi to the local ferry port and got a ferry to Pulau Ketam better know as Crab Island. It is a small village on stilts out in the mangroves it has the freshest seafood around. My husband and I had whole fish, large mud crab a king prawn dish and two soft drinks each for less than $40 Aussie dollars. People are friendly and it was a very cheap day out. Total cost for the day was & $75 includes transport. It is safe for families.

We did the Kuala Lumpur on your own tour. Trip from the dock to city was around an hour but definitely worth it. Dropped almost right outside the KL towers and very nice shopping centre. Taxi to china town was very cheap and had a very good time there and good food.
