Review summary

Just okay, watch the fees and the cost for drinks. Both are outrageous. Not a horrible experience, but not a great one wither. First time, last time NCL cruiser.

Embarkation

Really 15.00 fee to bring one bottle of Champaign on board. Shame on you NCL, don't you make enough money on all of the other fees. $50.00 for a case of water, shame on you again. This kind of pricing policy will turn people off from cruising with you again. First time, last time on NCL

Children's Programs

Traveled with my 18 year old son, no organized programs for 18 to 20 year olds. NCL bad idea to group programs for 18 to 40 somethings. Its not safe and not smart.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Most of the staff were friendly and professional. It only takes one bad interaction to poison the bunch. When asking for a map of Victoria Canada I was told, we don't have any. I asked why and was told there on no maps available. When asked why not and how can I plan where to go when we arrive with out a map the very smug Indianan gentleman standing at the line in front of the desk said I should have planned better..really? No maps of this port because there were no corporate stores....thanks.

What a joke, got to the port 6 hours late. It was dark and everything nearby was closed. You could take a bus at 10.00 a person to town, should have been free given the situation. Letting an entire ship disembark in the dark on strange streets with no maps or guidance was dangerous and in fact foolish. Also I don't totally believe the Captain as to why the ship was delayed. Some of it was due to a sick passenger, the other part was due to a gross miscalculation of time, tide and wind. Thanks NCL!

They got this part right. Thanks goodness couldn't wait to get off the ship. Surprised there wasn't another hidden fee..like the breathing of air fee or the walking on the dock fee, yikes.
