Q: Is there a receptacle in the bathroom and where is it located? I’ll be in a midship balcony stateroom.

A: yes, but it is marked for razors only. it won't handle something high amperage like a blow dryer or curling iron.

A: If you mean a trash receptacle, it is a metal box usually concealed inside a cabinet. It does not have a liner.

A: no, but mid cruise they normally offer a reduced rate on a bag of laundry. I think the price has risen to $30 for the bag. you can also do individual clothing items at a per item cost.

A: I've done the Alaskan Railroad from the airport to Seward and it was a wonderful trip. well worth the cost

A: Try the Act Big Bus, they might pick up at your hotel or the airport. Also, Go Purple Shuttle is an option. we are booked with them on the 23rd. Pick up from our hotel. The Alaska Railroad should also still be running on that date.

Q: we are considering our first Alaska cruise on this ship. We have previously cruised on royal and loved it, and we cruised on carnival and don't care for it. Would this be a good ship to try?

A: if you're a Royal fan, you should do Celebrity. it won't be that much more

A: it's not an exciting ship, but it gets the job done for Alaska. Has a pretty good observation area in the front, especially within the spa area. A few decent specialty restaurants to try..I loved the french...disliked the Italian..and hated the steak... house... if the price is right and its a good one way itinerary its a good choice. of course Princess and Holland America are the best choices in Alaska because of their permits for glacier Bay.See More

A: My family and I really enjoyed this ship. It is an easy to navigate size. The Spinnaker lounge was a great place to watch things outside. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to view the scenery from as well, if you can brave the temps.

A: We are sailing on jewel this June Seward to vancouver. looking forward to it. long port times and long daylight hours. recently sailed on her this past February. not the greatest layout but it works. not worried about entertainment. the observation... lounge in front will be a plus. lots of deck space to look at scenery.See More

A: Im not a fan of this ship and her sisters in this class. You get the one way itinerary but for me there just aren't a lot of the fun entertainment venues like on NCL's Bliss and Encore that does the round trip out of Seattle. But it's just my person... al preference.See More

Answer QuestionA: they rotate the ship so you can see from both sides, but its much better to go out on the open decks. relying on your balcony for sightseeing in Alaska really cuts your chances of seeing wildlife and the sites.

A: it's true what he says. also, when you are in a public area, everybody starts to yell out when they see something swimming, running, or flying

Q: Hi - with NCL booking your flight, which airport for the Panama Canal cruise do we fly into and which port do we sail out of (I believe there are 2 if I’m not mistaken)- thanks - I’m booked for March coming in 2 days early and planning my own pre cruise hotel and transport

A: the larger commercial airport, Tocumen international PTY, is just east of panama City. I believe if your cruise ends in colon you are bused to airport on southern side to catch your flight. we are going with ncl air into fuerte Amador 2 nights early... but heading straight to airport via ncl transfer when cruise ends in colon. I think it's a 1 to 2 hour bus ride from colon to airport.See More

A: we're booked in late January and we're letting the cruise line do the flights so they aren't booked yet. based on what it says on the itinerary, they'll fly us into Colón and back out of Panama City (where fuerte amador is). but if you look up the ai... rport in Colón, the only flights are air Panama charters. I'm not sure if they'll book one, I'm sure there would be enough passengers to fill it, but it's only an hour or so to drive from Panama City so that's my plan, hopefully with a detour to monkey island. There are cabs, busses and private tour companies that will happily take you from one side to the other.See More

A: I'm also looking at this now since I received a confusing email from them today which stated they included transfers in error. I'm also seeing no major flights out of Colon (that's the disembarkation port for us). Hopefully, they will confirm every... thing on a call because the current paperwork does not go into detailSee More

A: I am booked on this trip in February. We fly into fuerto amator embarkation port and fly out of colon disembarkation port. Depending of the start and end of your cruise this is what they will do
