Closely manage your wifi minutes as you cannot sign into the app without them. Also there is an onboard call/text plan available that I did not stumble across until my last day at sea. Make dining reservations early for the complimentary restaurants.

Go for the location and for a cruising experience, but dont be surprised by management and details. Dont have expectations in particular. Be in for surprise for good or bad because quality didnt remain consistent.

Think twice before investing in a Thermal Suite pass. It was over sold, people were living in it on sea days…there was so one maintaining the suite, the floors were covered in water, people left cups and plates and dirty towels all over and if you didn’t move then they just sat there. Very disappointing…

Don't bother to join the officers for supper. Sat with them at a table in the Tropicana and couldn't have a conversation with all the noise.

The onboard app that NCL wants you to use does not work. We attempted to make reservations that were confirmed only to arrive at the designated time to be told that we did not have reservations..and that we must have cancelled them! Take a lot of chill pills, your going to need them!

If you're going to the main dining rooms get there before 5 pm to line up unless you want to make a reservation for 6:30 or after. If you show up at 6pm you'll be standing there with a buzzer for quite awhile. Also, do the dining rooms for every meal because it's so much nicer and less hectic. We learned that way too late in our cruise.

If you are counting on seeing Bermuda during January/February, don't. It is my understanding the stop is frequently cancelled (as it was on our cruise).

If you have not sailed Getaway before, go over all the events and dining with an agent or customer service well before you board. you need to pre-plan things like, which places to stand in line, and when. The schedules do not line up like a 'normal' cruise, so one wrong mistake and you can be stuck with no where to go all evening..
