I liked Taste and Savor the best. Fab breakfast.Tropicanna plays dance music which is wonderful, but its hard to hear table conversations.

No need to pay extra for food, the complimentary restaurants including Savor, Taste and Tropicana are more than enough to satisfy your fine dining needs,

Don't book through BJ's Travel go directly through Norwegian

For eating, the buffet is great, the main dining room requires a ticket, the small smaller dining specialty restaurants are pricey

Offer more sightseeing bus tours around the destination, to see the place by bus. The one in the Bahamas was greats, we got to see all the different sections of the Bahamas

Make sure you book everything way in advance! FREESTYLE is gone!

Next time, I will do these, instead of some of the specialty restaurants.

The Ultimate Drink Package includes some very nice, high end liquor and mostly acceptable although limited selection of wines. We discovered early on that they have no problem whatsoever serving us doubles of both wine and liquor that reduced our visits back to the bar.

Savor or Taste were great for breakfast. Avoid the Garden Cafe unless you like hunting for food or have kids. Tropicana for complimentary dinner was excellent with entertainment. For specialty dining, Cagny's was excellent. We had the filet on both of our visits. It was OUTSTANDING! Avoid La Cucina.

The Tropicana is the nicest complimentary restaurant. I overheard many people saying it was a specialty that you have to pay for. No, it's free, and we ate there 4 nights. They had entertainment while eating and also a dance floor. Best to make reservations.

We loved deck 8 because of the fact that you could walk around most of the ship at night outside. Very quiet and great for sunrises and sunsets. Good place to be after dinner.
shaeadawn
For every show you will need reservations prior to getting on the ship, otherwise you risk the chance of seeing nothing. Even then, some shows can't be reserved until you are on board. Do it ASAP, either by waiting in line at the reservation desk or doing it through your TV in the stateroom.

TALK TO ALL THE STAFF.THEY WILL MAKE SURE TO HELP WITH ALL YOUR NEEDS.I FOUND ALOT OF GUEST THAT NEVER SAILED ON FREESTYLE WERENT REALLY SURE WHAT TO DO.IT WAS NEW TO THEM.....JUST DO YOUR THING...WHEN AND WHERE YOU WANT

Get up early so you can take maximum advantage of all the activities offered.Enjoy all the restaurants as you have enough new ones to taste. Reach at least 15 prior to each program so you can get a decent seat and walk with your dancing shoes as there is dancing on the top deck nearly every night.

The Getaway was a great ship for family cruising. The kids program was fun for the kids, the kid pool and slides were great, the kids loved the buffet and endless ice cream. There were fun parties/activities for adults too - but this is a great ship for families, not a romantic adult vaca.

If you don't want to book a dinner time in the dinging rooms, the buffet was just as good if not better! Try Flamingos.....yum!
ccmusica
Cool water slides that's about it.

Savor was amazing.. Make sure you check it out.

Enjoy the ports, save $ and plan your excursions ahead with noncruise ship companies.
