Crew was unpleasant to deal with. Boat hit rough waters in the atlantic which made a few days at sea unbearable.

This was my family's first cruise. After adapting to being on a cruise ship and navigating our way around, we begain to explore and try out all of the amenities. We attended all the shows, exercised in the fitness center, tried out the pool, decorated cupcakes, learned to make towel animals and much more. There was something for everyone to do. We enjoyed our floating hotel while docked at King's Wharf, Bermuda. Everything we wanted to do and transportation was convenient. Walked right off the ship and bought bus/ferry passes and explored. Had read some reviews about the wait staff not being friendly. This proved to be untrue. Everyone we dealt with was helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff was excellent. Couldn't do more for us. The food was good and there was way too much of it. We didn't go to any of the specialty restaurants because there was a large selection available at all the other restaurants. Wait time for seating was minimal. Overall an enjoyable vacation.

The cruise director (Sinan) was hilarious and like the energizer bunny. He must never sleep because we saw and heard him everywhere. Shows were amazing and there is always something to do inside or out on the decks. Just get out there!

Overall very good. I would use this company again without doubts.

Wow!! This cruise was so wonderful that I wouldn't hesitate telling people that this should be their next trip. My best friend and I took our 14 and 16 year old daughters on this cruise. There was so much for them to do. The girls enjoyed laying out on the top deck with us but they would be on the go playing shuffle board, exploring the ship, playing cards and we felt that they were totally safe. They were sad that after seven days it was over! I would tell people to bring walkie talkies with them so that they could keep in contact with their group.

The food at the buffet was almost the same all of the time. The Blue Lagoon Lounge is highly recommended because it is open 24 hours a day and has wonderful snack/fast food.

We really liked the ship except that it was confusing on the first evening to find the main dining room because of the way the ship is set up. The main dining room is on deck 6 but we had to enter it from deck 7. It was not the easiest place to find on that first night.

The Norwegian Gem is just that... a gem. Beautiful!!! Nicely laid out. All dining rooms, theaters, pools, and staterooms are easily accessable. Used elevators constantly...all worked...no long waitng!

Some food was really good, some just so-so. Mexican restaurant was great, sushi not so good. Buffet food was pretty good and food in the dining rooms was overall very good. The pools were deep and salt water and a great place to hang out. Entertainment was pretty good overall.

I do not have a lot of cruising experience but overall I thought that this was a poorly run ship. We waited (while seated) almost three hours for dinner one night in the main dining rom. Even the service on the "supplemental" restaurants (where you pay for a spot) was horrible, I waited half an hour for a glass of wine. Their "freestyle" dining is just nonsense. You are free to eat whenever you want, as long as you can get a table. In the end you need reservations anyway so what is the point? Plus it is basically the same menu everywhere that is not a "supplement" restaurant. The children's programs were good however. The cabin staff was great.Never in our way and always helpful.

Entertainment and food was excellent. Employees were funny and couteous. Needed to enforce non-smoking areas and more pools. Some venues were overcrowded.

The crew was extremely hard-working and dedicated to make sure we all had a great vacation. Cruise director Sinan did a great job in giving us top notch entertainment. I thought the prices of the excursions were very high especially for a family of 4. We ended up getting a multi-day pass to ride unlimited on the ferries and buses around the island. We were able to get around easily and save a lot of money this way. I recommend the crystal caves and Horseshoe bay.

We were total embassed by your crew member Noel in frount of everyone, we would not go back to eat there. I honestly would never sail on that ship again. They really need to learn manners

Great ship, excellent friendly crew, nice mix of people on the boat. The food buffet was great, nice variety of food which appealed to my family. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Beautifully decorated ship - reception area, main dining rooms, bowling alley/Bliss nightclub, etc.

this was our second time sailing on a Norweign ship. Our first experience on the Dawn was great, but the Gem fell short in many aspects. We had roasted chicken and stir fry noodles everyday for lunch and dinner. The service in the dining areas was poor and the food was not much better than what I make at home. And there were some items that were just terrible. It was not our best cruise experience. Also the entertainment quality is so so. Jose and Patti singing duo is the best entertainment we have seen on a Norweign cruise.
