Way too many kids on board for it to be a pleasant ship experience.

The pool deck was a complete free for all. No rules at all. Chairs saved all day, kids in all the hot tubs, parents bringing babies in diapers in hot tubs, etc. When you bring it to the attention of the staff, you get the typical "yes, we'll take care of it", and they do nothing. By day 3 we realized we were the saps by following the rules and never having a deck chair, so for the rest of the cruise I put our towels out when I went for my coffee at 6:30.

It was an great trip but long. I wish they had more activities that would of kept us and the kids entertained. Antigua stole our hearts and we plan to go back there to visit.

I would never take this ship again. We have been on the Jewel and the Majesty in the past and had a wonderful experience. Overall. the rudeness of some of the staff was to much and the fact that my husband was really sick and could not get to the doctor in the 2 hours he was there... We will try another ship in the future.

I did not want to go on a cruise - any cruise. I thought I had no interest. I did it for my Wife. We are now discussing where we will be taking our NEXT cruise to.... That should tell you all you need to know.

I loved it !! Would do it again and again. The only port I didn't like was St. Croix

Great family time! Overall the Norwegian Gem is very nice. Worth it if you don't have any food allergies.

Hit some bad weather coming out of NY, ship and crew handled it very well. The ports were lovely and enjoyed to the fullest. I think I prefer an itinerary where the sea and port days are not as grouped together. Meaning couple sea followed by a port or two. This cruise was 3 sea days, 4 port days, 2 sea days and we needed a break from ports by the time we returned.

I’m general we had a fun time. Service and food have taken a few steps back since our last cruise.

We had a fantastic time and we’re looking forward to our next journey.

Friendly staff, love the hand sanitizers....washy washy rocked the ship, me and my kids loved it, felt that it was too much waisted food. If it was better made the people would eat less and not just take the food taste it and throw it, loved the magician J P

this was our first cruise. the crew was great. the ship is well kept . the cabin was nice.the diningrooms are great. the buffet was overcrowded we just want to get breakfast and meet our tour finding a table within view of the food is impossible i think some people sleep in the garden cafe at their tables. the staff though overrun was still friendly and nice especially those washie washie girls if you could bottle there attitudes you can put prozac out of business

We had a good time Days went too fast. We will go again Everthing was good food drinks. Lunch breakfast diner. The only thing that i don’t like it was ther bingo games es a rip off. But notting you can do.

Probably one of the worst. Right at the top of my list with carnival cruises. We did shore rxcursions through norwegian and they were rediculuously priced. Should have just found our own stuff to do. We also had a foreigner taking photos of young girls around the pool. Kids didn't feel safe anywhere.

It was what we needed at the time. I was a little put off by the up selling and pressure to book. And some of the booking features felt like a trap. It will probably be our last cruise for some time.

Don't think I will travel on NCL again. There entertainment was not good. The buffet was ok. The food in the dining room was not good and the staff was very slow. So when you got the not good food it was cold. Some of the sales people in the onboard shops didn't have a clue. And disembarkation on the last day was a nightmare.

Tthe waiters and waitresses were not familiar with the products they offered and the food was cold or not ordered and I had to wait a long time for it. The staff that was selling various items didn't seem to knw what they had and how to sell. There was also an issue with the language. Repeating something in english does not answer a questio0n. They were very disorganized when it came to handing back liquor that they confiscated and as a result, my roommate and I are missing bottles. I sent an email to the guest relations department and have not heard from them yet.

The cruise was great until Tuesday afternoon when we were informed that the ship broke down. From that point on, the carefree, vacation frame of mind quickly dissipated as everyone then became nervous and agitated by the breakdown and possibility of flying home. Ultimately, we did in fact fly home from Barbados on chartered flights. The flights were significantly delayed and resulted in a 15 hour long day of travel. After arriving at the airport you were on your own regarding your trip home. I still have not heard back from NCL in regards to the complaint I submitted a week ago.
