I hate to be a downer, but one can do much better on other ships. The layout of this ship does not accommodate the number of cabins they have. This really squeezes the non-reservation strategy. The layout requires you to walk back and forth, up and down, through the casino constantly. There is a lack of "sandwich shop" and "pizza place" style dining options which forces you into either the buffet or a small section of centrally located (difficult to get to without central elevators). The buffet is mediocre, so it doesn't address the issue.

Buffet food was just “ok” at best, ship was at max capacity “ so was un-enjoyable “ , ship is in ALL AROUND poor shape, black jack tables are definitely cheating with electronic shuffle machines!.Very poor sun-deck layout, poor room layout. The Epic was not at all Epic!!

Over all we had a great cruise. I would definitely cruise with Norweigan again.

Overall I would NEVER cruise in Norwegian again. I’ll go back on Royal Caribbean next time.

We had a fabulous time! The staff absolutely "wowed" us. We were traveling with some "high-maintenance" family and the staff never lost their cool. They went above and beyond and because of that we will absolutely choose Norwegian again and will highly recommend to family (not the high-maintenance ones!) and friends! The entertainment was fantastic. There was something for everyone. Whatever vibe we were in the mood for, it was somewhere on the ship at all times! Thank you for a great escape from reality!

My husband and family took me on this cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday. Hubby booked the Owner's Suite in the Haven...Spectacular! Our travel agent, Leema Yow with made sure this was an unforgettable event, full of decorations, cake, the works!

We really enjoyed the cruise, but we did not know that we have to go online and make reservations for shows and dinners. I think our experience would have been better if our travel agent had communicated with us.

Lots of fun on ship, ports weren't that great actually didn't have much time to visit ports

Being my first cruise, I wasn't sure what to expect. Overall, it was a great experience, however, we weren't able to stop at Great Stirup. The ship was rocky a couple of nights due to wind/waves, but it wasn't terrible overall. NCL was great and we will definitely book again.

I felt "freestyle" was a bit of a misnomer considering the lines to get drinks or get into the included dining options.

Not type of rooms to share with children could be awkward with weird bath setup..

Personally, I wouldn't go on this ship again as it was focused on alcohol and we don't drink.

Work on procedures for seniors who are handicap getting. on the ship who need wheel chair assistance.

I hope my next cruise on Norwegian is better or I'll select another line.

The cruise was very enjoyable. Met some Nice people.

We will never cruise NCL ever again, and will share this experience to hopefully stop others from spending thousands and having such a horrible cruise.

I was glad to be on vacation and not have to work, but the ship itself was very disappointing. This ship needs to be taken out of commission or downsize the amount of people by about 1500 so you can maybe enjoy the ship. Again the venue is too small for the amount of people on the ship

In summary, the EPIC has tainted 12 years of loyalty for us with NCL. We have absolutely loved every other ship. We do prefer the Breakaway + ships - but have loved every other cruise we've been on with NCL. That said, I'll reiterate the title of the review - a bad day on a cruise ship beats a good day at work. We love NCL - we love the Haven, and will continue to choose them. After we sent a message to NCL shoreside leadership, they took good care of us so nothing to complain about there. In the Haven, our Concierge (Aza) and Butler (Dennis) were amazing. The Cruise Director (Daniel) is also incredible. I don't recommend the EPIC - but I do recommend Norwegian.

Won't sail on the NCL ever again. The newer ships are too crowded and there are not enough shore excursions or dining slots for everyone to enjoy.

Wonderful adventure and great time at sea. Would recommend it highly.
