Review summary

I felt "freestyle" was a bit of a misnomer considering the lines to get drinks or get into the included dining options.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Arrived around 2:30--no waiting!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Long lines at bars. 45 min wait for a table at Osheehans at 11pm (buffet already closed, so no other options available to my knowledge) Shanghai Noodle House doesn't open until 5:30, but if you aren't in line by 5, you're not likely to be seated. Arrive at 5:30 and you probably won't even ve able to get a buzzer to alert you when a table is ready. Giving it three stars because the service and food, once you got it, was fine, but overall not an experience I care to repeat.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
As an older person, I felt there was very little onboard activity that did not cost extra. There were the typical trivia type games.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Dizzy, the comedy magician, was awesome! By far, he was the best entertainment on the ship. Dueling Pianos was entertaining, but 3rd rate singers. If you are a Beatles fan, you may enjoy their shows.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service was great when you could get it. Just long lines everywhere.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Older ship buy well maintained. Bathroom setup doesn't provide ANY sound insulation! So I would not recommend it for early in a relationship!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was small but lots of storage. The split bathroom with just a curtain separating it from the main cabin wasn't too bad--except the frosted glass panels did nothing to block toilet noises!

Ship tip

Expect long bar lines, especially early in the cruise

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Arrive a few days early and visit the many attractions in Orlando.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Private islands are frequently missed due to weather. We received a $40 refund of port fees as a refundable onboard credit.

Falmouth, Jamaica

1 out of 5
Unless you are doing an excursion, not a place you care to visit. When they have iron gates to the port shopping area kept closed with a guard stationed to let you in or out, it's not a good sign!

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Nice island to visit. I'll probably plan to visit it again. Purchased a $30 tour in the port that took you to some tourist attractions.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Always lots to do in Cozumel! Did a ship excursion to Tulum. No complaints but more time spent traveling there than sightseeing.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Well organized disembarkation with typical lines. I was glad I had cruised before because I received nothing in my room about getting luggage tags (did hear it ONCE on an announcement). I happened to return to the cabin while it was being cleaned and the steward told me the bags needed to be set out by 11pm--but never saw that in writing either (saw lots of people the next morning that had luggage tags attached but apparently weren't aware they needed to set them out the night before). And I never saw or heard anything about what time you should be out of your cabin.
